The Urban Guide to the Countryside

Wouldn’t you though?

The gorgeous Anna-Lou at Muddy Northants came across the rather lovely Yvonne Ellen homewares recently, and because she knows I have a penchant for all things vintage, she just had to share.

Yvonne’s strong passion for beautiful fine bone china alongside her love of quirky, decorative illustration, really peps up your offering when your friends come to call for tea (or gin, as mine tend to do). They have a vintage vibe, but they’re really contemporary too, and there’s quite a bit to choose from in the range, including tea cups, teapots, plates, jugs and tea towels. Prices aren’t dead cheap, but pretty reasonable, under a tenner for the tea towels, and around the £35 mark for a tea cup and saucer.

Every piece is carefully and lovingly designed and made right here in Britain, and the Yvonne Ellen ethos is they only sell beautiful things they would absolutely love to own themselves.

Check them out; but be careful when you chin, chin; they are bone china after all!
