We love a cute picture book, and this range of Woolly Tales with knitted characters that include Woolly the Warthog, Myrtle the Pig, and Pauncefoot the Rabbit are perfect for little people.
This super cute book series are the creative work of husband and wife team Andy Goodridge and Nicola Klinkenberg who create, write and make the series from their home in Godalming.
And as an extra bonus for kids with creative parents (or someone in the family), each book includes a knitting pattern – so they can enjoy looking at the books and cuddling their favourite characters. The books are aimed at babies and toddlers.
There are 16 books in the series – all perfectly sized for small hands – featuring a different character each with endearing names like Trixie the Squirrel, Zoofer the Monkey, Sprackle the Mole, Clementine the Goose and Furwig the Sheep.
Andy is a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer – and he designs the characters, sets and books. He also takes the photos for the stories. Nicola is a lawyer for a charity. She knits the characters and writes the knitting patterns. She also makes the sets, props and creatures for the stories.
And everything is thoroughly checked and tested by their one-year-old son!
The books are available from the couple’s Etsy shop and the Woolly Tales website for £4.99 including free UK delivery.
