Fill this sack with the children’s Christmas presents and leave under the tree for them to find on Christmas morning for a magical start to their day. It comes in organic cotton with a charming Christmas motif and a drawstring tie at the top. It’s about 90cmx70cm – so a pretty good size to fit everything in and comes from Richmond store Newbie and online.
Made from natural bamboo, this cute lunchbox will be the envy of your little one’s class mates. And as well as looking super cool, it’s also good for the planet. It’s from a small family-run business based in Surrey called Big Little Bamboo which specialises in eco-friendly products.
I love wooden toys. They’re classic and timeless, feel great to the touch and look better than a pile of plastic toys. This cute Sarah and Bendrix wooden mouse is handmade from sustainably sourced beech with painted face details and felt ears. It’s available from Two Ducks in Woking, but Sarah and Bendrix is also a small Surrey-based business.
Isn’t this baby quilt just as cute as can be? Marshmallowy soft and super thick, it’s made from four layers of breathable muslin fabric. At 120cm square, they’re perfect for bedtime snuggles and can also double up as a play mat. They’re from small family-run business Bullabaloo.
You can choose your own design with these personalised baby name prints by Surrey artist and creative designer Hannah Baker, the lady behind Snugglebunch. There are 12 cute characters to choose – all original watercolour illustrations – including an elephant, bunny, owl, fox, giraffe, butterfly, mouse, robin, tiger, lion, dove and dolphin.
If it’s a keepsake you’re after, jeweller Simon Pure in Guildford and Cranleigh has a gorgeous collection of five pendants called Alice’s Creatures that includes a hedgehog, rabbit, dodo, door mouse and frog. They’re all supercute, are handcrafted in sterling silver and come on an 18in trace chain.
These cute unisex leggings are made in the UK using super soft cotton fabrics that are free of all chemicals. As well as this cool tally mark print, there’s also a cow print and one with little sheep. They’re in sizes from 6 months up to 3 years and come from family run business Bullabaloo.
Jumping for joy
How cute is this Rudolph Christmas sweater from Newbie in Richmond. It’s made from 100% organic cotton and comes in sizes for babies from 1-2 months up to 12-18 months, and for older kids up to size 6-8 years. There’s also a red version. Buy one for each of kids so they’re all matching on Christmas day. How cute!
Heart the art
While most of the Snugglebunch designs are aimed at smaller kids, we reckon this contemporary heart watercolour print would look pretty fab on any teenager’s wall. There are also versions that include the words Happy and Love. Buy all three and mount them on the wall gallery-style.
One can, toucan
Claire Lee, the owner of lifestyle store Two Ducks in St John’s Woking, is brilliant at sourcing wonderfully unusual products from small independent makers and businesses. This quirky toucan wall hanging comes from a small Dutch company called Studio Roof. There are other designs too, including an angelfish, a sloth and a clown triggerfish.
