Muddy says: If you love a mezze, you’re going to love Meejana. This award-winning Lebanese restaurant in swanky Weybrige is said to be the best Surrey.
It’s all about top-quality homemade Lebanese cooking at Meejana – from authentic mezze dishes to traditional family-style food.
The menu includes many seafood dishes from the coast, alongside dishes from the interior (often lamb or chicken). The authentic mezze offers a huge choice and includes delicacies such as sweetbreads and frog’s legs, while the main courses include family recipes from the owner’s Lebanese family.
It’s served alongside a boutique wine list that’s been handpicked to complement the food. (There’s also an eclectic cocktail list – make mine a Cosmopomegran!)
Sleek and stylish, the restaurant opened in Weybridge in 2007 and was recently refurbed and extended to add a new bar area, comfy sofas and a baby grand piano. On Saturday evening you’ll find Pasqual, the resident pianist, tinkling at the keys.
Meejana also offers catering for parties and events.
A second Meejana restaurant is on the Old Brompton Road in Kensington, London, SW5 9HP.
