Seasons Café and Kitchen has taken over the pretty canal-side café space at The Lightbox in Woking, offering up exciting seasonal specials such as warm salad of sea trout in the spring and braised venison in the autumn.
The restaurant is run by the team behind The Tipsy Pigs private catering agency, including award-winning head-chef, Neil Tompkins, who bring 15 years of experience to Seasons; Carla Williams, manager of nearby Sands; and marketing expert James Farmer.
The space has been given an injection of style, with reclaimed timber table-tops, industrial-style chairs and a new wood-panelled serving counter. In the summer, the restaurant will have tables in the courtyard.
Alongside changing seasonal specials, the menu features healthy bites like Thai Spiced Fishcakes and Five Spiced Confit Duck Salad, and mains such as Chorizo and Red Pepper Risotto and a Slider Burger Board. At weekends, Seasons will offer a brunch menu from 10.30am-midday including the Big Brekki and Smashed Avocado and Poached Egg on Toast.
The Tipsy Pigs catering agency specialise in weddings and garden parties, with a focus on great food that is homemade and wholesome. Alongside the food is Tipsy, the VW Campervan Cocktail Bar, who was rescued from the scrapheap and fully restored. She’s available to hire for all types of parties and events.
Seasons Café and Kitchen is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am-4.30pm and Sunday 11am-4pm. From 1 April, the restaurant will be open until 9.30pm on Thursdays.
