The Plough Inn and Brewery is a has been beautifully restored by the new owners John and Becky Hopper, and is at the heart of it’s local community, as well as attracting cyclists, walkers and day trippers.
Situated on the Olympic and Tour of Britain road biking routes, the many miles of challenging hill climbs coupled with the beautiful scenery make it a popular among road and mountain cyclists. Leith Hill, the highest point in the South of England is also nearby. The pub offers the perfect place to refuel, whatever your activity.
The kitchen offers delicious home-cooked food, using only the best ingredients, sourced from suppliers in the local area (many of them award-winning) – from the freshest fruit and veg, to grass-fed beef and the pub’s very own game from Leith Hill and fresh produce from the pub’s vegetable garden.
If you’re looking for a venue, the pub has a separate rustic barn available for private hire. In the winter, this unique venue is heated by open fire, or in the summer is the perfect space to enjoy an al-fresco banquet with some of our seasonal sharing plates. The Barn at the Plough is also available for small weddings, with full access to our beautiful country-cottage beer garden.
Upstairs at the pub, there are six individually furnished rooms available, all with en-suite facilities.
