Need a night out?
We've got just the thing! Cocktails, music and dancing - and not a teenager in sight. This night's for you!
Remember those days when a night out involved spontaneity, a little craziness – and often the night bus home? They’re long past for me – *cough* – though I do admit to having dozed off on the train home from London and woken up to a station that was many past the one I should have got off at.
It feels to me like a night out that involves cocktails and music – and maybe a little dancing – takes a massive effort involving either a trek to London or a dance floor that’s full of frisky teenagers.
And let’s not even talk about the morning after. But that’s another story …
It’s a private affair – you must buy your tickets in advance from here – and it promises to be the least hassle evening ever, as well classy, sophisticated and brilliant fun.
A unique playlist has been put together by the creator Eve Bulley. If you’re a lover of thrash metal or drum’n bass, it may not be for you – tunes will be fun and funky throwback classics. Think Diana Ross, Prince, Michael Jackson, Donna Summers.
Hummings Lounge has been open for less than two months – but already it’s garnering a reputation for brilliant cocktails.
The menu was devised by top mixologist the Talented Mr Fox (aka Matt Whiley) – co-founder of legendary London bar Fluid Movement (as well as five other award-winning bars), one of the Evening Standard’s 1000 most influential Londoners, and the man responsible for cocktail menus at the Michelin-star restaurants The Man Behind The Curtain, Fera at Claridges and Restaurant Story.
Gin takes centre stage here, so we’re taking this evening up several notches from the warm glasses of Pinot Grigio or the vats of Stella you used to quaff. Who’s for an Espresso Martini?
So here’s what you need to do…
