May, and it's still flipping freezing - my excuse for splurging on yet more cashmere! This fab jumper, from White Coco, comes with added zingy yellow stripes. Hello sunshine!
I’ve never met a grey cashmere jumper I didn’t like and this perky spring knit is no exception. It’s from White Coco, a chic womenswear boutique, across the border in Berkshire; Hungerford to be precise. The stripes set it apart from the 3,000 other grey sweaters in my wardrobe and they’re in zingy yellow, aka the shade of the season (see Emma Stone’s citrus-hued frock in La La Land for details).
The fine gauge knit is ideal for chilly mornings or evenings, the cut is pleasingly loose (can’t abide a tight sweater, personally) and it looks lovely with denim, be it jeans, cut-offs or a skirt. It’s £150, which isn’t bad for decent cashmere and – my favourite bit – you can machine wash it at 30 degrees (I speak as someone with a long history of ruining dry clean-only sweaters by assuming they’ll be fine in the washing machine. They won’t).
Do have a look at the rest of White Coco’s stock too – there’s plenty of other spring knits, going out tops and cute accessories to jazz up your workaday jeans and give yourself something to smile about on these chilly spring days.
