Cool and cosy autumn knits
With luxe fabrics, funky designs and cool colours, knits have never been cooler. Here are seven of our favourites from our fave Surrey boutiques.
Slouchy and super soft, the Suncoo Pedro jumper nails this season’s colourblocking trend with its wide pink, blue, beige and rust stripes. It’s available online and in-store from Godalming boutique, Catwalk.
Bold and bright
Bright, near-neon shade are another biggie this season and puffed sleeves aren’t going anywhere either – so this gorgeous Neve pullover in vibrant violet from young contemporary label Frnch is a dead cert. It’s at Two Ducks in St John’s, Woking.
A cosy kimono cardi is stylish, smart and contemporary – and unique. It’s designed and handmade by Susan Holton in her home-studio near Hampton Court in Surrey. We love the vibrant azure blue and ribbed texture on this one. Other colours are also available.
The twin set
… but not as you know it. This silver grey v-neck jumper, from Dutch label Riani, comes with a separate turtle neck insert. It’s 50% wool, 30% silk and 20% cashmere – so it’s also super soft and snuggly. A bit of and investment piece – from Courtyard Boutique in Guildford.
The chunky knit
This chunky knit number from Parisian ethical fashion label Poppy Field. It’s handspun in Belgium from super soft eco wool-blend with a touch of mohair. Wear with midi skirts and high-waist trousers for touch of boho chic. It’s available at Guildford boutique, The Gate.
The traffic stopper
This playful geometric print cardi is a dead cert for adding a pop of colour to your autumn wardrobe – wear over a strappy cami or on it’s own as a top for a more impactful look. Available from Henley-based boutique Fluidity2.
Go luxe with this long merino wool coat-style cardi from Winser London. Perfect for transitioning into cooler climes, plus the side splits and Winser’s signature Milano stitch give the cardigan a sophisticated, tailored feel.
