When size matters
Style meets practicality with these super-sized bags designed by two sisters from Surrey.
Whether you call it a holdall, a tote or just the ultimate big bag, you’re going to love this collection of bags designed by a new Surrey brand called Two Queen Bees.
When size matters – and sometimes it really does matter – these are the bags you’re looking for. Big. Beautiful. Practical. They’re the perfect holdall for the parent who’s sick of having loads of bags, coats, kids, and stuff hanging off them.
Two Queen Bees was set up by two Surrey sisters – both mums to little ones – who struggled to find the perfect big bag for days out with their kids. It actually started with a simple trip to the beach. Although as anyone with kids knows, a trip to the beach is never simple. You. Need. So. Much. Stuff.
When they couldn’t find a bag big enough to fit everything, they decided to design their own, following a simple brief. It had to be stylish, practical, hard-wearing and water-resistant.
The result is a collection of canvas bags in two sizes. There’s a large bag – big enough to fit toys, nappies, beach towels, the kitchen sink – which comes packed in a smaller bag. Use the smaller one like an extra pocket inside the big bag, or as a cross-body bag for things like your purse and phone.
While the original plan was to design the perfect beach bag – it turns out they also happen to be great overnight bags, gym bags and baby change bags.
The big bag is a generous overnight bag for one, or the perfect bag to stuff full of the kids’ essentials for a day out. It measures 70 x 40 x 24cm and there are internal and external pockets to keep those essentials within reach at all times as well as a removable long strap. We love versatility! And pockets. It comes with the smaller bag – and at £40 for both, we think that’s pretty good value.
But if size isn’t so important, you might just want the smaller cross-body bag (35 x 25cm) which is available separately for £15.
The bags come in light and dark grey, plum, cobalt blue and teal green, and there are also options to have your bags covered in stars – because, why not?
