A peachy period Property Flirt
Shall we celebrate the end of Dry January with a nose around a gorgeous family home in Surrey? Yes, I think so too. Usual rules apply – look at the pics and description, guess the price and do your victory dance when you get it spot on.
So, a few little factoids first… this stunning house is a period peach of a property – Grade II listed in fact – and it’s recently been renovated in a most stylish way. It’s a four bedroom terraced house in Westerham, on the Kent border.
If you don’t know it, Westerham is a gorgeous historic market town centred around a pretty green. It’s full of antique stores, cafes, pubs and boutiques, so add a few quid for the location. Oh, and it’s just three miles from Oxted and six from Sevenoaks. In that prime spot you’ve got easy access into London via the M25 for motorists or by train (Victoria, Cannon Street or Charing Cross) as well as a host of excellent Grammar, Prep and Independent schools on your doorstep. Now go and add a few quid more.
So through those gorgeous iron gates you go, crunch along the path and up to the front door. In you go… after you. Here’s a visual feast for starters:
I think you’ll agree, she’s a stunner, and she’s bursting with period features. The house is set over four floors, with a tv room in the cellar, and the kitchen/breakfast room, dining hall and sitting room on the ground floor.
Don’t touch the piano…
Now swing on that banister and head up those stairs where you’ll find two bedrooms and a bathroom on the each of the first and second floors.
Outside there’s a pretty terraced garden – the perfect place to enjoy a G&T on a sweet summer’s day. Remember those?
Right then, you’ve had a good look around, stuck your head round the door of the bedrooms, opened a few cupboards and maybe even had a plink plonk on that baby grand… time to guess the price! Have a little think, then click here to find out.
