Say hello to Cecil

I've got a new crush. And this one's called Cecil. He's a handsome chap - classic, but beautifully turned out.

I almost don’t want to tell you about Cecil. I’d quite like him all to myself – but I’m a sharing kinda gal. *Wink* So here it goes. And if you reckon you can guess at what Cecil is worth – he’s for sale you know – leave your price in comments below and the the person who’s is closest wins a big bunch of flowers from Cecil’s garden.

Ohhh. I say. Shall we get started?

Cecil has been around for a long time, dating back to 1891. Outside he’s a cool classic: a red brick Victorian with bay windows, sweeping driveway and landscaped gardens. Cecil Lodge is in a brilliant position too, just a few minute’s walk from Oxted station (which will have in central London in 40 minutes). Junction 6 of the M25 is also easy to get to.

But let’s go inside this stunner, where you’ll find Cecil has been beautifully renovated. This is the best of both worlds. You’ve got spacious elegance, grand ceiling heights and Victorian charm fused with modern sophistication.

The house is set over four floors, with long wide entrance hall on the ground floor leading to two living areas, a kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and study.

The kitchen has been kitted out with all the mod-cons, including a two Neff ovens, a microwave oven and steam oven, a boiling water tap and a wine cooler. The kitchen extends to the dining room, and double doors open from here to a terrace overlooking the back garden.

Downstairs from here is a basement that includes a cellar with it’s own bar area, a workshop and the boiler room. Upstairs, you’ll find the master bedroom, along with three more bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which has door connecting it with the master bedroom.

On the top floor there are two more bedrooms, which could be used as a home office, teenager’s retreat, or a suite for the nanny. There’s also a large loft space, so plenty of room to put away all the suitcases and Christmas decs.

Oh my giddy aunt, this property has Muddy Surrey written all over it! But then, don’t they all?

Right, that’s your lot, no more clues. Ready to guess? Consult, review, place your bets. What to see just how much of the family silver you’re gonna have to hock if you want to live here? Go on then….
