Property flirt: party pad

Shall we celebrate spring and all this glorious spring weather (??!!!) with a goosey gander around a gorgeous family home just a hop skip and a flippety flop across the Kent border in pretty Crockham Hill. Yes, I think so too.

Usual rules apply – look at the pics and description, guess the price, put your answer in the comments box below and the winner gets a romantic break with Tom Hiddleston in the Bahamas. Er, ok, maybe not. But you’ll have the glory of being right!

What we have here is Freshfield Court, a handsome five-bedroom house in Crockham Hill, just across the border in west Kent. Location wise, you’ve got the gorgeous market town of Westerham just a few miles away, Edenbridge a few miles in the other direction, and the larger town of Oxted is also just a stone’s throw away giving you a direct train line to London in about 35 minutes.

The house is set over three floors, with a home cinema-cum-games room and a gym-cum-storage room in the basement; the kitchen and three living rooms plus a down-stairs bedroom or playroom are on the ground floor; and four bedrooms and three bathrooms are on the first floor. All this adds up to a whopping 4,000 square feet to waft around in. There’s your first hint.

The house was built in 2009, and I think you’ll agree the modern design really shows in the bright and airy rooms. It’s also got all the techy bits you’d expect, CAT 5 cabling, an integrated sound system and hub with ceiling speakers and multi-channel keypad to all the main rooms. On the practical side, there’s underfloor heating in all lower-ground and ground floor rooms, plus the upstairs bathrooms, and a comprehensive security system.

On the ground floor, a utility room connects the garage with the main part of the house, so even when it’s wet you can drive straight in without anyone getting wet. *sigh* Oh, how I’d love something like this at my house.

Upstairs, the master and guest bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathrooms, and there is also a large family bathroom.

And the outside is just as lovely, with beautifully landscaped gardens and a large deck area out the back with doors from both the drawing and family rooms. This house is screaming parties and entertaining at me. The deck looks out over a large lawn area, and a children’s play area at the bottom of the garden.

Right then, that’s enough from me. Have a ponder, decide what the property is worth, and see if you are right.
