Woldingham wonder

Well hello. Aren’t you a big boy! The house you shocking lot, the HOUSE.

There’s nothing I love more than a little nosey around a gorgeous pad, and the bigger the better, but let’s not be greedy. Yes peeps, it’s the Flirt Alert. Time for you to kick back with a cuppa and nosey through the corridors and cupboards of someone else’s house.

Shall we open these gates and begin?

First up, a few quick fire facts. It’s got four bedrooms, four living rooms, a separate self-contained annex, swimming pool, fitness studio, barns, and triple garage.

The house was designed and built by the current owner. It’s a well proportioned 5,400 square footed hunk, set in established but secluded grounds of 2.3 acres on an exclusive private road in Woldingham village. Hunk. Private. Exclusive: they’re all great words when used in the same sentence. I’m sure you’ll agree.

The village is at the top of the North Downs, with direct train services to London Victoria, and is only a few miles to the M25.

Although the house is modern, there’s still plenty of character: handsome vaulted ceiling with oak beams, an inglenook fireplace, flint stone and mellow brick. The drawing room has a gorgeous triple aspect across the gardens, and the kitchen is a light-filled wonder with bi-fold doors leading out onto a large deck area.

As you’d expect, it’s all high-spec, a Stoneham kitchen with plenty extras: steam oven, coffee maker, wine cooler and an American-style fridge-freezer, plus Range Master cooker.

There’s an informal family room directly off the kitchen, with cosy fireplace, and doors leading to the terrace and pool, plus a formal dining room downstairs, and drawing room and study. But don’t whip off your clothes and dive-bomb in just yet. Come and have a look upstairs.

An oak staircase leads up to the four bedrooms. There’s a whopper of a master suite, with walk-in wardrobes and dressing area plus a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Two of the other bedrooms also have ensuite bathrooms, and there’s also a separate family bathroom.

Outside is superwow – the garden is massive and very private. There’s the terrace, handy for eating al fresco, and of course that heated pool, bonza. Plus the self-contained annex – perfect for plonking the in-laws when they stay – with a bedroom and bathroom and it’s own living room and kitchenette, plus a three-car garage.

What else can I clue you with? Well, local schools are excellent, and you’re not far from Godstone and Oxted with their pubs, restaurants and amenities. All things that will tickle the price up.

Right then, that’s enough from me. Discuss, decide what the property is worth, and see how close you get.
