I love having a snoop around other people’s houses – and I know you do too. And boy, oh boy, have a I got a corker for you. Let’s take a gander at this stunning property found in one of the most sought-after areas of Oxted.
And then comes the fun bit – you guess the price! Shall we let the nosiness commence? This house is a stunner… and fair warning, there’s a lot to fall in love with. Shall we start with the location?
You’ll find Chart Grange tucked away on Rockfield Road just outside Oxted – bounded by high hedging and surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens.
There’s a lot of house here – five bedrooms, four receptions rooms and three bathrooms, plus this very grand entry hall with a sweeping staircase leading up to the first floor. Nice, eh?!
To the left of the staircase is the main sitting room – the formal sitting room if you like – with triple aspect windows including glass patio doors leading out to the terrace, plus a lovely feature fireplace. It’s a gorgeous room filled with light and with wonderful views out over the garden.
Across the hall you’ll also find a huge kitchen dining room which opens onto a large open-plan family room – again with loads of windows, and doors opening out to the garden. This space is screaming party – when it’s safe to, of course.
There’s also a cosy snug with garden views and a separate dining room. Plus a utility room and cloakroom downstairs.
Upstairs, to the first floor – and a very impressive galleried landing – there are five bedrooms including one of the most amazing master suites you can ever hope to set your eyes on with a large bedroom that flows through to a parents’ retreat sitting room on one side – with balcony doors opening out to views of the garden – and on the other side a lovely spacious bathroom. Oh, la la!
But the bedroom decadence doesn’t end there! There’s also an impressive guest room – or teenager’s retreat, perhaps? – which includes an ensuite bathroom and dressing room. The third bedroom has its own cloakroom, and in addition to two more bedrooms there’s also a family bathroom.
But wait, she cried! There’s more! Head upstairs to the second floor and you’ll find another reception room – the perfect studio space, cinema room or teenager’s retreat. Although, fair warning: they may never move out with all this at their disposal.
Outside, the gardens have been beautifully landscaped and include a paved sun terrace – perfect for that late-afternoon G&T. Oh, and there’s also an outdoor in-ground swimming pool.
Impressed? There’s a lot to like, right! And that’s all well and good – but what do you think it’s worth? Take a guess and comment below, then peek at the right answer over at Jackson Stops in Oxted (no cheating, now!).
