Brand spanking new to the market, this traditional family home is in a prime property position within easy walking distance of Oxted town-centre. Tally-ho, property pervs. Binoculars at the ready?
Ooooh la la. What have we here? It’s only a glorious five-bedder smack bang in the middle of Oxted. Yes, this one’s all about location, location, location.
And, oh! What an elegant dame she is – built in 1908 and oozing traditional features and plenty of space. As always, we’re going to have a bit of fun – open a few doors, snoop around upstairs, glance at the conservatory. I’ll drip feed you some handily little clues, then you guess the price, and claim your £1,000 prize if you get it right.
Er just joshing. We do this purely for the glory folks.
Let’s start with the location, on Church Lane, just a few minutes walk from Master Park and the independent shops, restaurants and cafe’s in Oxted town centre, plus – of course – the fabulous Everyman Theatre and wine bar. The mainline train station is also an easy walk and offers regular direct trains to central London.
The house itself is super pretty – set back from Church Lane and approached via a private driveway. Plenty of space here to park an entourage of cars, and there’s also a double garage. Handy!
Step inside the front door, and you’ll find yourself in a good-sized entrance hall which leads to a big sitting room and conservatory, as well as the kitchen and the dining room.
There are double French doors leading from the sitting room into the conservatory, which in turn has double doors leading out to the garden.
To the right of the reception room is where you’ll find the kitchen and dining room with a cute window seat built into the bay window at the front. There are also doors leading from the dining room to the garden.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms on the first floor – two which connect to a Jack and Jill ensuite bathroom – as well as the family bathroom, and on the second floor you’ll find bedroom number five with its own ensuite shower room. Three of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.
Outside, there’s a lovely garden which has been beautifully landscaped and features mature borders and a lovely level lawn.
There’s not much more you need to know, you’re deliciously commutersville, with Oxted station just half a mile away (with direct trains to London in 35 mins) and the M25 handily nearby giving pretty good access to most motorway networks. There’s also a pretty good selection of state and independent schools nearby including Caterham School, Woldingham School, Hazelwood Prep and Oxted School. So guess the price, then check it here to see how close you get here.
