Just in time for the summer holidays, a lifesaver from the brilliant First Wonder Box - themed activity boxes for kids aged 4-8 years delivered every two weeks.
Who doesn’t love getting packages in the post? I can’t think of any child who wouldn’t be totally excited to find their own personally-addressed package plop through the front door.
And even more so when it’s a package full of fun games and activities especially designed to keep them entertained for hours.
No scrabbling around to find googly eyes, or muster some imaginative energy, it gets delivered all ready for your little darlings to stick, scribble, draw, and create so that you can do the important stuff – make a coffee, put your feet up and devour your daily dose of Muddy!
Muddy Surrey’s four-year-old Mudlet, Piper – daughter of Muddy commercial manger Becky – received her very first First Wonder box this week, and she was super excited to get it open and get stuck in.
The boxes are by the same team who created the award-winning children’s newspaper First News, and they’re a great mix of learning and fun.
Each box contains themed activity book and a toy plus all materials needed for creative projects. Piper got the Rainforests Wonder Box, and as well as the Rainforests activity book, there was a mega-stretchy frog, collectable cards, and everything you need to make your own spiral snake – right down to the glue stick.
Piper loved making the snake – and got really creative scrunching the tissue paper to add a wonderfully creative 3D texture. She also loved the stickers and was super clever sticking all the animal stickers onto the right spot on the world map.
At £8.99 for each box it feels like pretty good value – and your first box is half price, so it’s actually even better. It’s a subscription service, and you can pause or cancel any time you like. Each one comes with a different theme such as dinosaurs, pirates, ancient Egypt, bugs, that sort of thing.
You can order them online if you’re interested in giving them a whirl – a fab distraction that also keeps the brain ticking over during the summer hols. Or a super original birthday pressie.
