Is this the most fang-tastic Halloween fest in Surrey?
According to our 3 and 4 year old reviewers, er, YES! Here's what to expect if you rock along to Wiglet's Great Spook-er-ree at Godstone Farm.
Godstone Farm is worth a visit at any time of the year – we’re massive fans here at Muddy – but right now with Halloween festivities in full swing, it’s totally spooktacular (!!) and definitely worth a visit.
For a whole week from Sat 26 Oct the farm is turned over to the witches and ghouls for Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree – a half term festival of fun. There are Halloween themed activities including crafts, quizzes and face painting, plus spooky stories, pumpkin carving, trick or treat games and brand new for this year, the light illusion tunnel which we loved. Thanks to the 3D ‘Halloween’ glasses the tunnel really comes to life – it’s really well done.
The Halloween week ends with a bang at the Low Bang Fireworks on Fri 1 Nov. (FYI – tickets to the fireworks are selling like hotcakes and available only in advance so you’ll need to book – click here to do that.)
There are more than 500 animals at the farm – but this week it’s the creepy creatures like the rats, lizards and spiders who take centre stage. Although at the preview day the birth of two baby goats was also pretty special – and not something we’re likely to forget in a hurry.
The pot-bellied pigs are also a Muddy favourite.
It wouldn’t be Halloween though without the pumpkins and of course there are plenty. We took part in the pumpkin race, and there’s also pumpkin carving.
Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree! is at Godstone Farm until Fri 1 Nov. Click here to book tickets.
