Seasons Cafe & Kitchen, Woking
Muddy says: Seasons cafe is in the pretty canal-side café at The Lightbox in Woking, offering exciting seasonal specials.
Seasons Café is the pretty canal-side café, housed within The Lightbox Museum & Gallery in Woking, bringing a wonderful all-round experience to this prominent cultural asset.
The café offers up an exciting seasonal menu put together by a talented head chef who champions the use of Surrey’s natural larder and is skilled at using local produce to create restaurant-quality dishes served in a relaxed café setting.
The menu rolls with the seasons – the hint is in the name! – so in autumn you can expect tempting delights like five-spiced confit duck salad or braised venison, while in the warmer months it’s dishes like the warm salad of sea trout that take centre stage. At the weekends, there’s also a delicious brunch offering with the likes of smashed avocado and poached egg on toast – perfect with a cup of locally roasted coffee.
Seasons Café is a cool, relaxed space – the perfect place to catch up with friends over lunch, enjoy a drink in in the café’s sunny canal-side courtyard or indulge in brunch at the weekend. Everyone is welcome and there’s a dedicated kids’ menu and kids’ play corner.
On the last Thursday of each month the café is open late for the live comedy and film club events at The Lightbox.
The restaurant is run by the team behind The Tipsy Pigs private catering agency, who specialise in making people happy through beautiful food and drinks.
The Tipsy Pigs specialise in weddings and garden parties, with a focus on great food that is homemade and wholesome. Alongside the food is Tipsy, the VW Campervan Cocktail Bar, who was rescued from the scrapheap and fully restored. She’s available to hire for all types of parties and events.
Seasons Café and Kitchen is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-4.30pm and is open late every Thursday alongside the regular live comedy or film club events at The Lightbox.
