Nestled on the edge of Windsor Great Park and just a stone’s throw from Virginia Water Lake, The Bailiwick is a destination pub if ever there was one.
But it’s not the location alone that you’ll be coming for – this is a pub for foodies, a gastronomic destination for local folk and visitors with an down-to-earth, friendly and relaxed vibe.
Chef Steven Ellis is the man at the helm, having earned his kitchen stripes under the tutelage of Clare Smyth at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Steven’s wife Ami is head pastry chef – and between the pair have created something special.
Taking advantage of the abundance of amazing local produce, and with Steven’s particular love of game, he has created a menu thanks to a network of local suppliers including the head gamekeeper at The Royal Farm and Windsor Great Park. Expect food that is creative and playful.
As well as fab food, there’s also a fab drinks menu which includes the Windsor Great Park Sparkling Wine, thought to be the Queen’s favourite tipple, and The Bailiwick’s own signature ale, made using wild hops that have been foraged in the surrounding countryside.
