The White Horse, Hascombe
This 16th century village pub in Hascombe has its fair share of locals tumbling in for a pint but is also a foodie destination in its own right.
This lovely 16th century building is in the small, well-heeled village of Hascombe, just outside Godalming. The pub has its fair share of locals tumbling in for a pint but it’s actually more of a foodie destination, offering a grown-up vibe in The Dining Room eating area and family dining in the Saloon Restaurant.
The pub has had a recent makeover and the result is a cosy, but stylish pub which makes the most of the period features. In fine weather, there’s a lovely outdoor terrace which extends to a fabulous garden.
You’ll appreciate The White Horse best if you bed in for an afternoon or evening over three courses and a good bottle, or two, of wine.
And while we’re talking wine, it’s a big deal at The White Horse – with most of the wine list offered by the glass thanks to a clever wine system called the Coravin. This allows you to match your wine to your food or explore new wines like never before!
The White Horse is at the crossways of numerous footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways including the Greensand Way, and dogs are allowed in the bar, so this is also a great pub in which to warm the cockles or quench a thirst after a country ramble.
