It’s the Muddy Awards do

One gorgeous venue, 24 worthy winners and plenty of Surrey sparkling wine - it must be the Muddy Awards do. Here's the lowdown on our high jinks at Denbies.

It was a Muddy takeover at Denbies’ Wine Estate last Thursday as the winners of the 2019 Muddy Awards gathered to toast their success.

It was smiles all round for the worthy winners after a fierce competition that saw voting this year at an all-time-high.

We love an elegant venue at Muddy – and the Garden Room at Denbies is the perfect place for a party. The fact it’s also on England’s biggest wine estate, where award-winning tipples are in no short supply, is also a major plus.

But of course a stylish venue was a must for our winners because oh, what an elegant bunch our Muddy Surrey winners are.

Huge, huge love to all our winners, finalists and everyone who voted in the awards. It was an extraordinarily close competition in some categories.

Clockwise from left: Kelly and Alex from Dorking Halls, Paul Sorrel and Tom from The White Horse in Hascombe, and the three Chobham winners – Fay from Inside Chobham, Vonnie from Basil & Blue, and Natalie from The Beauty Nest.

Shirlee and Viv from Secretts; Sarah from Sarah Olivia Photography.

Rosie from Flowers by Rosie Orr; and Jenny and Nick from Mini Melton.

Paula and Jess from Bocketts Farm; and Alex from Beaverbrook.

Attila from Attila Kun Personal Training; and Sophie and Tom from Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village.

Alix, Steve and Stef from Simon Pure Jewellery Designer

Ceri from Bspa at Brooklands Hotel; and Amber and Claire from Two Ducks.

Laura and Zahir Akram; Lydia and Floss from Silent Pool Distillers; Jo and Lucy from Sorella. All photographs by Julia Crawford
