Kingston Christmas Market

Where: Town Centre, Kingston-upon-Thames
When: Thurs 14 Nov – Tues 31 Dec, 10am-6pm (Sun-Wed) 10am-8pm (Thurs-Sat)
What to expect: A traditional Christmas market that spreads throughout the Ancient Market Place and the surrounding pedestrianised streets. Featuring over 50 stalls in pretty wooden chalets and a heated marquee selling festive goodies, arts, crafts and decorations, plus vintage carousels, a snowboard simulator and reindeer rodeo.

Polesden Lacey Christmas Artisan Fair

Where: Polesden Lacey, Great Bookham
When: Fri 15 to Sun 17 Nov and Fri 22 to Sun 1 Dec, 10.30am-5pm
What to expect: A traditional Christmas market with high-quality exhibitors each housed in a charming wooden chalet offering up a range of unique gifts, decorations, crafts and festive foods. Free with entry to grounds.

The Hythe Christmas Fair

Where: The Hythe Centre, Egham
When: Sat 16 Nov, 11am-4pm
What to expect: Table top stalls, family activities, games, face painting and a visit from Santa Claus. The Hythe Christmas Fair

Rural Life Centre Christmas Craft Fair & Vintage Christmas Fair

Where: Rural Life Centre, Tilford, Farnham
When: Sat 16 and Sun 17 Nov, 10.30am-3pm
What to expect: Two Christmas fairs over two days – the first offering up unique and handmade gifts including toys, jewellery, soft furnishings and ornaments. It’ll be followed the next day by the Vintage Christmas Fair which attracts stallholders selling retro, vintage and antique goodies.

Loseley House Christmas Fair

Where: The Front Park at Loseley House, Guildford, GU3 1HS
When: Thurs 16 to Sun 19 Nov, 9am-5pm (Thurs-Sat), 9am-4pm (Sun)
What to expect: Fun Christmas shopping with free and easy parking. This fair is hosted by the Rural Craft Association and features fashions and accessories, bags and belts, jewellery, scarves, soaps, skincare and more. Tickets £5 adults, £4.50 seniors

Christmas Market at Chartwell

Where: Chartwell House, Westerham
When: Thurs 21 – Sun 24 Nov
What to expect: The popular Chartwell market returns with a wide range of gifts from local businesses from chocolate to candles, jewellery and hats! Local businesses will be there such as Half-cut Candles, Stas Chocolatier, High Weald Dairy and Momapaws. And while you’re there let your little ones explore the garden in their interactive 12 Days of Christmas Trail daily from 21 Nov – 5 Jan 2020. 

Reeds School Christmas Fair

Where: Reeds School, Sandy Lane, Cobham
When: Fri 22 Nov, 12noon-5.30pm
What to expect: Over 40 stallholders offering up gifts, homewear, fashion, decorations, plus mulled wine, mince pies and other refreshments.

St Mary’s Church Reigate Community Christmas Market

Where: St Mary’s Church, Reigate
When: Sat 23 Nov, 12-4.30pm
What to expect: More than 40 independent stalls, plus activities for kids including donkey rides. Guest choirs keep things super festive, and there’ll be street food in case you get peckish. St Mary’s Church Market

AWS Gift Fayre

Where: ACS Cobham International School, Portsmouth Road, Cobham
When: Sun 24 Nov, 10am-4pm
What to expect: Now in its 29th year, this fair organised by the American Women of Surrey features more than 100 stalls, as well as a tombola, nearly new sale and a traditional bake sale. Entry is £3 and all proceeds go to local charities. AWSgiftfayre

Denbies Late Night Christmas Shopping and Craft Fair

Where: Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking
When: Mon 25 Nov & Mon 9 Dec, 5-8pm
What to expect: A real Christmas atmosphere going on at Denbies with carolling and music, free mince pies and mulled wine, a range of original gifts for sale and even a surprise visit from Father Christmas. Free admission.

Christmas Fair Farnham

Where: Farnham Maltings, Farnham
When: Wed 27 & Thurs 28 Nov
What to expect: A fair full of festive charm, featuring a marketplace with more than 150 stalls specialising in handmade gifts, unique stocking fillers, crafts, vintage wares, food and drink.

Christmas Craft Fair at Wisley

Where: West Horsley Place, Horsley
When: Wed 27 Nov to Sun 1 Dec, 9-5pm Wed-Sat, 9am-4.30 Sun
What to expect: Previously held at Wisley, this festive affair brings together some of the best crafters and artists and makers in the country.  You’ll find range textiles, paintings, furniture, metal, leather, ceramics, jewellery, glass, fashions. Admission £7 in advance and £10 on the day.

Ice rink and Christmas Fair

Where: Parkside School, Cobham
When: Sat 30 Nov & Sun 1 Dec, 10am-6pm
What to expect: As well as 20 exclusive shopping stalls selling a range of unique gifts, there’s a festive ice rink. Skating must be booked in advance. Cost is £12 adults, £10 children, £40 family. Book here

Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair at the Lightbox

Where: The Lightbox, Woking
When: Sat 30 Nov & Sun 1 Dec, 10.30am-5pm (Sat) 11-4pm (Sun)
What to expect: This arts and crafts fair attracts local designers, crafters, painters and producers, as well as food stalls. Live music creates a wonderfully festive atmosphere. Free entry, but £3 donation is suggested.

Celtic Christmas Weekend

Where: Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, Compton
When: Sat 30 Nov & Sun 1 Dec, 11am-5pm
What to expect: More than just a Christmas market, there’s also the chance to make Christmas crafts, from wrapping paper and wreaths to unique paper chains. Father Christmas will be there, as well as festive music and carols, alongside a range of artisan stallholders. Entry is £13 and under 18s go free. Booking is advised.

Handpicked for Dorking Christmas Market

Where: Dorking Halls, Dorking
When: Sun 1 Dec, 2-6pm
What to expect:  A selection of handpicked creative offerings giving you the chance to buy amazing unique and bespoke gifts. Free entry and ample parking nearby.

Guildford German Christmas Market

Where: The Guildhall, Guildford
When: Sun 1 Dec, 11-4pm
What to expect: This market will feature a whole host of German treats on sale including mulled wine, traditional wooden toys, candles, cards and second hand German books.

Made in Croydon – Christmas Makers’ Market

Where: Boxpark, Croydon
When: Sun 1 and Sun 8 Dec, 11am-5pm
What to expect: Artists, designers and makers from Croydon come together at this market to showcase a huge range of work including fine art paintings, prints and cards, hand-made silver and costume jewellery, toys and candles as well as sculpture, fabrics, cushions, ceramics, gifts, woodwork, T-shirts and more.  There will also be music, food and drinks. Made in Croydon

Haslemere Christmas Market

Where: Haslemere Town Centre, plus Haslemere Museum and Georgian House Hotel
When: Sun 1 Dec, 10am-4pm
What to expect: A great community event with street entertainment, market stalls, Santa’s grotto, a farmers’ market and festive food and drink. Free entry

Ripley Christmas Fair

Where: Ripley High Street, Ripley
When: Sun 1 Dec, 12noon-4.30pm
What to expect: As well as stalls selling everything from food and drinks to jewellery, Christmas decorations and wreaths, expect live music, the village’s Christmas lights switch-on, and a grand procession involving Harley Davidson motorbikes and the jolly old man in red himself.  Free entry

The Brand Christmas Pop-up

Where: The Ginistry, Station Road, Oxted
When: Wed 4 Dec, 5.30-9.30pm and Thurs 5 Dec, 10am-1pm
What to expect: Shop for handbags, jewellery, art, fashion, beauty, home accessories and gifts. There will also be an exclusive gifting area, where guests can buy classes, treatments and experiences for loved ones from local companies including Aileen Ross Pilates, EmPower Yoga, The Hummingbird Clinic, Moya Slade Photography, and Venus Nutrition. Free entry.

Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre

Where: Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey
When: Fri 6 – Sun 8 Dec (Fri and Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-4.30)
What to expect: Eat, drink and be merry at Henry’s old house as the palace courtyards are transformed into a festive food-lovers wonderland for Christmas. There will be live cooking demonstrations in the kitchen, carols from local choirs and music. Entry included in palace admission, £21.30 adults, £10.70 children.

Christmas Market and Ice Skating

Where: St John’s Primary School, Caterham
When: Sun 8 Dec, 10am-5pm
What to expect: As well the Christmas market, there’s also the chance to get into the festive spirit and go ice skating.
