Back to Halloween

Get spooked at the Scary Skywalk

Calling all scare freaks! If you're after a spooky experience that's guaranteed to get the heart racing this Halloween, the Scary Skywalk in Esher has it nailed.

Too old for trick or treating? I’m hearing you! But there’s still a lot of frights and fun to be had this Halloween beyond just carving a pumpkin or two and scaring the neighbourhood whippersnappers.

If you’re looking to maximise your thrills, you need to head towards the stars – and at Skywalk Adventures in Esher, it’s all about tackling the ziplines and high wires under the cover of darkness. It’s only open from Sat 26 to Thur 31 Oct – and ticket are limited, so be quick.

Set your heart racing when you brave the two Skywalk adventure courses in the dark – with the added fear factor of the forbidden woods and the lurking skeletons and spiders. The courses are lit up with coloured lights, lasers and strobe lighting, and there are ghastly noises coming from the woods.

It’s not for the feint of heart, but all safety standards are adhered to – so you’ll be fully strapped in with safety harnesses and a roller rope system that cannot be detached until the end of the course (so there’s no need to clip in and clip out). There’s also a safety briefing before you set off.

The course is aimed at anyone from age 8 and above, but you must be at least 1.30m tall – a brilliant option for teenagers.

For those who still like the idea of the the Scary Skywalk, but can’t bear the darkness, it’s open from 11am – still with lots of cobwebs and spiders, but fewer supernatural sightings!

Fancy dress is encouraged – and there will be prizes for the best dressed – but do remember that long dresses or coats, capes, hair pieces, flying broomsticks, and cauldrons may interfere with the safety equipment.
