Cranleigh Christmas Fair

Where: Cranleigh Prep School, Wyatt Hall
When: Sat 3 Nov, 10am-4pm
What to expect: Now in its 10th year, this Christmas fair attracts top-of-the-range stallholders from gifts and clothing through to Christmas decorations and delicious food and drinks stalls. More than 70 independent boutiques have been handpicked for their style, elegance, charm and originality, including luxury knitwear brand Caitlin Charles-Jones, CrossLow London, Partisan Cheesemonger and Deli, Villiers London, Feather & Stitch and Surrey Spice, to name just a few. Entry is £4.

Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair at the Lightbox

Where: The Lightbox, Woking
When: Sat 1 & Sun 2 Dec, 10.30am-5pm (Sat) 11-4pm (Sun)
What to expect: This arts and crafts fair attracts local designers, crafters, painters and producers, as well as food stalls. Live music creates a wonderfully festive atmosphere. Free entry, but £3 donation is suggested.

Denbies Late Night Christmas Shopping and Craft Fair

Where: Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking
When: Mon 26 Nov, 5pm-8pm
What to expect: A real Christmas atmosphere going on at Denbies with carolling and music, free mince pies and mulled wine and a range of original gifts for sale. Free admission.

Watts Christmas Weekend

Where: Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, Compton
When: Sat 24 & Sun 25 Nov, 10am-4pm
What to expect: More than just a Christmas market, there’s also the chance to make Christmas crafts, from wrapping paper and wreaths to unique paper chains. Father Christmas will be there, as well as festive music and carols, alongside a range of artisan stallholders. Entry is £13. Children free. Booking is advised – the event sold out last year.

Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre

Where: Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey
When: Fri 7 – Sun 9 Dec (10am-6pm, Fri and Sat, 10am-4.30 Sun)
What to expect: Eat, drink and be merry at Henry’s old house as the palace courtyards are transformed into a festive food-lovers wonderland for Christmas. There will be live cooking demonstrations in the kitchen, carols from local choirs and music. Entry included in palace admission, £19.20 adults, £9.60 children.

Handpicked for Dorking Christmas Market

Where: Crossways, Junction Road, Dorking
When: Sat 24 Nov, 11am-4pm
What to expect:  A selection of handpicked creative offerings giving you the chance to buy amazing unique and bespoke gifts. Free entry.

Christmas Fair Farnham

Where: Farnham Maltings, Farnham
When: Wed 28  (1pm-9pm) & Thurs 29 Nov (10am-8pm)
What to expect: A fair full of festive charm, featuring a marketplace with more than 150 stalls specialising in handmade gifts, unique stocking fillers, crafts, vintage wares, food and drink.

Christmas Craft Fair at Wisley

Where: RHS Wisley Gardens, Woking
When: Wed 21 – Sat 25 Nov, 9am-5.30pm Wed-Sat, 9am-4.30 Sun
What to expect: Wisley joins up with Craft in Focus to brings together some of the best crafters and artists and makers in the country for this annual fair.  You’ll find range textiles, paintings, furniture, metal, leather, ceramics, jewellery, glass, fashions. Entry included in admission price, £13.05 adults.

Guildford Cathedral Christmas Gift Fair

Where: Guildford Cathedral, Stag Hill, Guildford
When: Fri 16 – Sat 17 Nov, 10am-4pm
What to expect: Now in its 8th year, this market attracts more than 50 exhibitors selling an eclectic mix of bespoke Christmas gifts and decorations, chocolates, cakes and confectionary, liqueurs and wines, food and pamper hampers, jewellery, accessories and more. Entry is £3.

Brockham Christmas Craft and Gift Fair

Where: Brockham Village Hall, Brockham Lane, Brockham
When: Sun 25 Nov, 11am-4pm
What to expect: More than 20 stalls offering a range of handmade crafts and gifts made by local craftspeople. Entry is free.

St Mary’s Church Reigate Community Christmas Market

Where: St Mary’s Church, Reigate
When: Sat 17 Nov
What to expect: More than 40 independent stalls, plus activities for kids including donkey rides. Guest choirs keep things super festive, and there’ll be street food in case you get peckish. St Mary’s Church Market

German Christmas Mini Market 

Where: The Guildhall, High Street, Guildford
When: Sun 2 Dec, 11am-4pm
What to expect:Stalls selling new and traditional German goodies, including Lebkuchen (spiced biscuits), glühwein (mulled wine) and wooden toys and Christmas decorations. Entry is free.

Haselmere Christmas Market

Where: Haslemere Town Centre, plus Haslemere Museum and Georgian House Hotel
When: Sun 2 Dec, 10am-4pm
What to expect: A great community event with street entertainment, market stalls, Santa’s grotto, a farmers’ market and festive food and drink. Free entry

Kingston Christmas Market

Where: Town Centre, Kingston-upon-Thames
When: Thurs 15 Nov – Mon 31 Dec
What to expect: A traditional Christmas market that spreads throughout the Ancient Market Place and the surrounding pedestrianised streets. Featuring over 50 stalls in pretty wooden chalets and a heated marquee selling festive goodies, arts, crafts and decorations.

Loseley House Christmas Fair

Where: Loseley Park, Compton
When: Thurs 16 – Sun 19 Nov (Thurs – Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 9am-4pm)
What to expect: More than 70 high-end stallholders selling everything from artisan gin and fine English wine to Murano glass, ceramics and jewellery. Entry £5 or £4 in advance.

Tadworth Christmas Fair

Where: The Children’s Trust, Tadworth Court, Tadworth
When: Sat 24 Nov, 12-4pm
What to expect: A festive afternoon for the family with market stalls, Christmas music, face painting, donkeys, arts and crafts and Santa in his grotto. Entry is £2.

Oxted Christmas Festival

Where: Oxted Town Centre
When: Thurs 15 Nov, 5-8pm
What to expect: A family-friendly festive celebration with a fairground with rides, side shows, jugglers, and stilt walkers. Santa Claus will make an appearance and switch on the festive lights at 6.30pm. There will be music from local musicians and choirs.
