The Rose Theatre’s annual Christmas fundraiser returns with an evening of beautiful carols, festive jazz and dance performances, with proceeds supporting the theatre’s programme of drama, culture and learning. The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21.

That’ll Be The Day Christmas Special – G Live, Guildford – Tues 13 Dec


That’ll Be The Day brings its brand new Christmas show to Guilford. It’s a rock’n’roll variety show celebrating the festive season with plenty of comedy, plus all of your favourite Christmas classics from the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies. The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £27.50-£25.50.

Mince Pie March – Dapdune Wharf – Sat 10 Dec


Join this circular walk from the Town Lock in Weybridge, past Coxes Mill and back to the Town Lock, stopping off for a minced pies and mulled wine at the White Hart pub. The cost is £5, which includes the mince pies and mulled wine. Dogs on leads are welcome. Bookings are essential.

Visit Father Christmas – Ham House, Richmond – 10 & 11 Dec, and 17 to 22 Dec


That jolly old fellow stops off at Ham House in Richmond to say hi to the kids. Follow the Christmas trail in the gardens then visit Santa in his grotto. Every child will receive a Christmas gift. The cost is £3.50. It’s on from 10am-3.30pm.

Young Contemporary Talent from the Ingram Collection – The Lightbox, Woking – 10 Dec to 29 Jan

Part of the newly formed Young Contemporary Talents section of The Ingram Collection, ‘Paper Cage’ by Chloe Wing is a recent acquisition from the MFA fine art degree show at Wimbledon College of Art. Wing’s work creates and atmospheric and immersive installation. The narrative is created by light effects, shadows and paper cutouts.

Seth Lakeman – G Live, Guildford – Wed 14 Dec




Seth Lakeman, folk singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, performs tracks from his new album Ballads of the Broken Few at Guildford on Wednesday. In the past 10 years, Seth has gone from the English folk music scene into the mainstream, playing to audiences around the world including two tours to Australia. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £22.50-£26.50.
