Story Pocket Theatre dramatises Brit comic and award winning children’s author David Baddiel’s AniMalcolm. The show uses physical theatre and live puppetry to tell the comical tale of Malcolm, a boy who hates animals, as he inhabits the bodies of several farm creatures on a school trip.

KIDS’ THEATRE: The Amazing Adventures of Pinocchio
■ Epsom Playhouse ■ Mon 15 April

Based on the fantastical children’s book, this magical story leaps off the page and onto the stage in this high energy re-telling of Pinocchio’s extraordinary adventures. Packed with comedy, audience interaction, and a host of new songs guaranteed to have you singing along from start to finish.

Easter Crafts

Get creative this Easter with arts and crafts activities at Denbies Wine Estate. Sessions are at 11.3oam and 2.30pm, cost is £7.50 per child.

THEATRE: Glengarry Glen Ross

David Mamet’s darkly funny and iconic play, Glengarry Glen Ross arrives in Richmond this month as part of its UK tour – following its sell-out run on the West End. Mark Benton and Nigel Harman take on the roles of the cut throat salesmen.

THEATRE: My Mother Said I Never Should
■ Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford ■ Tues 16 – Sat 20 April

Charlotte Keatley’s award-winning play is a poignant, bittersweet story about love, jealousy and the price of freedom. Set in Manchester, Oldham and London, the story focuses on four generations of one family as they confront the most significant moments of their lives. Bring a tissue.

DANCE: Coppélia by Vienna Festival Ballet
■ Epsom Playhouse ■ Thurs 18 April

Infused with old world charm, Coppélia appeals to audiences of all ages with its captivating story of an eccentric toymaker and his beloved doll. The Vienna Festival Ballet’s production embellishes the original E.T.A. Hoffmann tale with fabulous dancing and beautiful storytelling.

FESTIVAL: Woking Literary Festival

Returning for a third year, the Woking Literary Festival offers something for all ages including best-selling author talks, pop-up book shop and a masterclass for aspiring authors.

EVENT: All-Weather Championship Finals Day
■ Lingfield Park Racecourse ■ Fri 19 April 

A great day out for the whole family on Good Friday. As well as the racing here’s plenty of entertainment  including live music, and Easter egg hunt, face painting, inflatable derby hoppers, chocolate giveaways and a giant inflatable assault course.

COMEDY: Guildford Gag House Comedy

Get your laughs at this monthly professional comedy club. The January line up includes funny people Otiz Cannelloni, Luke Honnoraty, Nick Elleray.

EVENT: Easter Open Day
■ Albury Vineyard, Albury  ■ Sat 20 April

It’s the perfect mix – fun for the kids and wine for the grown ups. Visit the vineyard on Sat 20 April between 11am and 4pm for a family-friendly open day with self-guided tours of the vineyard, a glass of two of bubbly, and delicious wood-fired pizza. The little ones will be kept happy with a vineyard bunny run, as well as colouring and stickers, and chocolate of course.

Chocolate Treasure Hunt
■ Painshill, Cobham ■ Sun 21 April

Explore the 158-acre landscape garden in the hunt for hints and clues to help find the egg, and be rewarded with chocolatey treats. It’s on from 10am-1pm. The cost is included in the normal admission price.

KIDS’ THEATRE: The Cat in the Hat
■ Rose Theatre, Kingston ■ until Sun 21 April

Dr Seuss’ much-loved book The Cat in the Hat gets a live action remake, with riotous rhymes, acrobatics and a whole lot of mischief. The play was originally produced by the National Theatre and looks puuuurfect for young families and kids 3+.

WORKSHOP: Vision Boards Surrey : Workshop
■ Willow Sanctuary, Guildford ■ Sun 21 April

Take time out to think about just you and your goals and dreams. This all-day workshop will help you identify what’s important in your life, what you want to achieve, and how to get there. You’ll create a vision board as a visual reminder. It’s from 10am-5pm. Cost is £75. Book

Vineyard Train Chocolate Trail
■ Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking ■ Sun 21 and Mon 22 Apr

Take a trip around the vineyard in the train with an Easter egg hunt at the highest viewpoint of the estate. Children cost £3.50 includes Chocolate Bunny ‘Hide and Seek’ treat, adults £9.50 including glass sparkling wine.

Wiglet’s Easter Eggstravaganza
■ Godstone Farm ■ until Mon 22 April

Plenty going on at Godstone Farm this Easter holiday with a full range of activities and family fun. Get ready for cuteness overload as lambs are born and chicks are hatching! You can even get close to the farm’s furry and feathered friends in scheduled activities throughout the day. Join in the races, cheer on your rubber duck, help braid a miniature Shetland ponies mane and meet the farm mascots.

Easter Eggstravaganza
■ Bocketts Farm, Fetcham  ■ Sat 6 – Tues 23 April

Lots going on at Bocketts Farm but the most exciting must surely be the lambing – with more than 350 new lambs being born. Cute, or what? There are also baby chicks and ducklings, a craft corner, disco den, tractor rides, pony rides and pig races.

WALK: Polesden Lacey Wellness Walk
■ Polesden Lacey, Great Bookham ■ until 28 April

Take time to reflect and recharge on the self-led trail taking you to the most stunning viewpoints around Polesden’s 1,400 acre estate. Alternatively join a guided Walk on the Wild Side tour with one of Polesden’s rangers and see the work they do to keep the country estate looking great. It’s at 11.30am on Mon and Wed until Wed 24 Apr.
