Luxury Mayflower Spa in Dorking opens its doors for the first time next week! Here are 6 reasons why you should put it to the top of your beauty wish list.
It felt like the day would never come but Surrey’s brand new, luxury spa is all set to open its doors for business next Fri 4 Oct – and you could say I’m a leetle bit excited.
Cue excited squeals – there’s a party to celebrate the opening from 6-9pm – so pop along for an early snoop!
You may be shrugging your shoulders and thinking, what’s the big deal, we have some fab spas in our hood already. Oh no no no NO! Here, let me tell you why you’ll want The Mayflower bang on your radar from now on – and it’s got nothing to do with the Mayflower Signature Treatment worth over £100 that we’re giving away.
1. It looks incredible
The beautiful interior of this Grade 2 listed building was the inspiration for Mayflower Spa. The original oak beams, period fireplaces and rustic atmosphere will take you back 400 years to when the original owner William Mullins lived here before he sailed on the Mayflower to America. Sea green walls and gorgeous florals combine with luxurious plump cushions and fluffy robes to really relax. There are two relaxation rooms, five treatment rooms including a double, and a studio space for yoga, Pilates and mindfulness.
2. The products
The spa is specialising in VOYA products – organically certified and cruelty free – so a big tick for the ethical box. They’re made using the finest natural ingredients including extracts of wild seaweed which has been hand-harvested from waters off the west coast of Ireland.
3. The treatments
The Mayflower Spa is all about relaxation, purity and peace for women and men – from the luxury facial treatments to the body scrubs and body wraps. There are also a range of massage therapies on the menu – or therapists can tailor a treatment to your exact needs.
4. Location, location, location
You’re smack bang in the middle of Dorking’s historic quarter with many independent antique and vintage shops as well as cafés and restaurants all right on the doorstep. Not hard to spend a few hours in the spa and a few hours mooching about these lovely shops – making it the perfect day out.
5. Additional therapies
The team at the Mayflower believe in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, and are offering a range of talking therapies, healing therapies, hypnotherapy and classes in hypnobirthing, as well as yoga and Pilates.
6. Beauty spot
No need to book your Brazilian elsewhere, the team at the Mayflower have a full menu of beauty treatments on offer that includes waxing, lashes and brows.
