Santa Claus is coming to town! Where to see him in Surrey this Christmas
Meet the Man in Red himself as he comes to Surrey bearing gifts (and the odd mulled wine!). Here’s where he’s stopping this year. Ho, ho, ho!

Godstone Farm, Godstone
The North Pole has well and truly arrived at Godstone Farm, and with it, Father Christmas, his elves (including the fabulous Pepper Minstix) and a whole lot of festive fun. Meet the big fella and his elves in his cosy grotto, then head off to the Christmas toy shop where children can choose a gift. Click here to read our exclusive interview with Pepper. Tickets must be booked in advance. On selected dates until Sun 24 Dec.
Hobbledown, Epsom
Step into Santa’s magical grotto and tell him all your Christmas wishes then head off with your special token to receive a gift from the Hobbledown elves. Tickets also include admission into Hobbledown which has been transformed into Santa’s Secret Village. Tickets to Santa’s Grotto must be booked in advance. On 2 & Sun 3, Sat 9 & Sun 10, Sat 16 – Sun 24 Dec.

Bocketts Farm Park, near Leatherhead
Hop on board the Santa Express and head to Santa’s traditional workshop where you’ll have fun with the elves before meeting Father Christmas himself. Children will be given a special golden coin to spend in his toy shop. As well as a visit with Santa, there’s lots other fun things to do too, including a Christmas activity book, crafts, reindeer food to make, baby lambs to meet, a giant snow globe, marshmallow toasting and, of course, the heated soft play barn. Tickets to see Father Christmas must be booked in advance. On until Sun 24 Dec.
West Horsley Place, West Horsley
Father Christmas has filled his sleigh with presents, fed all the reindeer, made a list and checked it twice. And he will land at West Horsley Place this December. His elves will take children to meet the man in red on Santa’s study where they can have a chat and collect a gift. While you’re there, take a tour of the beautifully decorated manor house, relax with a Christmas book by the fire in the library, head to the morning room to do some Christmas crafting and decorate your own Christmas biscuits. Tickets to see Santa must be booked in advance. He’ll be there Sat 2, Sun 3, Mon 4, Sat 9, Sun 10, Mon 11, Sat 16, Sun 17, Mon 18, Tue 19 & Wed 20 Dec.

Hobbledown Heath, Hounslow
Visit Santa and his reindeer at Hobbledown Heath which has been transformed into a magical Santa’s secret village. As well as a visit with Mr Claus and a gift from his elves, children can feed the reindeer. And for the premium Christmas Experience children can enter the teddy bear workshop and make their own fuzzy friend to take home. Book is a must. It’s on selected dates from Sat 2 – Sun 24 Dec.
Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking
Take a ride on Denbies Santa Express throughout the vineyard and play the reindeer game. Children will receive a gift at the end of their ride and a special ‘passport’ from Santa. It’s selling out fast though, so be quick if you want to book a seat on the train! It’s on selected dates throughout December.

Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, Compton
Experience the magic of Christmas with a visit to George and Mary Watts’s home, Limnerslease, part of the Watts Gallery Artists’ Village. Meet the Victorian Father Christmas and listen in as he shares a classic Christmas story and join in with other families for a festive sing-along.
Polesden Lacey, Great Bookham
This interactive theatre experience brings the delights of Christmas in the gorgeous surrounds of the beautifully festive Polesden Lacey manor house. Kids can get involved to help Santa’s elves and a cheeky dragon in the workshop discover what makes Christmas perfect. After the show, children will meet Father Christmas and collect a gift. Booking is essential. Tickets to ‘Meet Father Christmas’ do not include entry to Polesden Lacey. It’s on selected dates from Fri 1 – Sat 23 Dec
Rural Life Centre, Tilford near Farnham
Ride the steam train to visit Santa in his grotto. You’ll board the train at Reeds Road Station, near the museum’s main entrance, and alight at the North Pole Station, take a short walk through the trees to the elves workshop and Santa’s grotto. While you wait to see Santa children can take part in craft activities with the elves in the elve’s workshop. There’s also a vintage Christmas market at the museum as well as Christmas crafts. It’s on the weekends of 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17 December. Bookings a must.
