<p>Eating out in Oxted? This chic fine dining restaurant and wine bar right near Oxted station serves English tapas, steaks, and cheese and charcuterie downstairs. The more elegant fine dining restaurant upstairs. The Sunday roasts with a modern twist are epic and in the summer there is a secret courtyard. </p>

<p>Offering great cocktails alongside authentic Asian dishes, this popular spot right by the station is always full and does a brisk business in takeaway. Muddy can personally recommend the Chicken Gaeng Dang, (Thai red curry) with delicious coconut sticky rice, washed down with a pear martini!</p>

<p>Kinjo Japanese on Station Road East is Oxted&#8217;s newest restaurant, and already a real hotspot, so you&#8217;ll need to book. The lively modern space feels like a West End venue, and head chef Nabin Ghale champions a modern take on traditional Japanese cooking.&nbsp; There&#8217;s great lunch options. Or book for dinner with Donburi, Kushiyaki, Ramen, Sushi, Yakitori and Robata Grill dishes on the menu.  Can&#8217;t get a table? They have a sister takeaway <a href="https://takusan.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Takusan</a> just over the road.</p>

<p>A more established eatery is the excellent Nepalese that has been a local favourite for many years.  Every dish is freshly prepared using the best quality meat, fish and vegetables cooked with blended herbs and spices imported directly from Nepal. Delicious food in elegant yet informal surroundings.</p>

<p>Cucina on the High Street is a big favourite place to eat in Oxted with all the family. The upscale Italian is always busy and offers generous portions of quality pasta, stone-baked pizzas, risottos and traditional Italian delicacies. Head in for great coffee and brilliant food in a quirky, characterful space.</p>

<p>Across the road is the small but mighty Bru &amp; Bear &#8211; a great spot for a relaxed  brunch or lunch.&nbsp;They have a hidden courtyard where you can enjoy your excellent coffee and have recently expanded to introduce <a href="https://www.instagram.com/the_other_side_oxted/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Other Side</a> offering hand-crafted pizza, dessert, wine and beer in the evenings. Pop in after work!</p>

<p>If you have a sweet tooth head here with the kids for your sugar fix. Theres&#8217;s ice-cream, waffles and pancakes with a side of cute crafting. It&#8217;s the perfect spot to visit to after a matinee at the Everyman cinema across the road. </p>

<p>For great steaks and seriously Insta-worthy interiors Cattle and Cocktail is one of Oxted&#8217;s most glamourous restaurants. Buzzing at the weekends they also do cocktail pop-ups in the park across the road on summer evenings &#8211; perfect when there&#8217;s a cricket match on!</p>

<p>This lively tapas spot opposite The Ginistry has proved a hit with locals after opening in 2022.  The authentic Spanish Tapas bar is adults-only so leave the kids at home and enjoy an evening sampling their delicious little dishes washed down with a cheeky Cariñena. (Little known fact: they also own a really good Spanish takeaway <a href="https://www.bocata.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bocata</a> offering street food and deli take out just around the corner).</p>

<p>Brisk Burgers was already an Oxted favourite, but this year they are rebranding to add sourdough pizza to the menu. Fight for a table in this small but perfectly formed little dining spot.</p>

<p>Prefer the pub? There are some great options on the outskirts of the town; head to <a href="https://surrey.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/pubs-inns/review-bull-inn-limpsfield/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>The Bull Inn</strong></a>&nbsp;in Limpsfield, a stylish community-owned boozer with great food, or the more traditional <a href="https://www.thegrumpymole.co.uk/oxted/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Grumpy Mole</strong></a> at Merle Common. <a href="https://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/haycutter/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>The Haycutter</strong></a> at Broadham Green is another Muddy fave &#8211; the large light-filled pub has cosy open fires in winter and a pretty outdoor terrace for sunnier days. </p>
