<p>A gorgeous 17th century pub with low beams, log fires and lots of tempting January offers. Sign up to the newsletter to get the deals which includes a complimentary bottle of wine for the table when guests order two courses from the a la carte menu, 20 per cent of the bill when dining on a Sunday and kids eat free (a maximum of two children per one paying adult). Offers are valid until 7 Feb, and only one at a time can be used per booking.</p>

<p>With a sustainable menu, a snazzy cocktail list and gorgeous rooms for an overnight stay, there are plenty of reasons to visit this historic coaching inn in the centre of Dorking. But in January, it&#8217;s all about the deals on dining. Available all day Monday to Friday, and until 5pm on Saturday (until 8 February), simply order two courses from the a la carte menu, and you&#8217;ll get 50 per cent off your main course. Make mine the cheese soufflé followed by Chalkstream trout. Yum!</p>

<p>Country pubs don’t come more picture-perfect than The Red Barn &#8211; with it’s historic old barn dating back as far as the 16th century. There&#8217;s character oozing from every beam. And in the winter months a fabulous wood-burning stove takes centre stage in the middle of the barn. If that doesn&#8217;t draw you in, perhaps January&#8217;s special set menu dining deal will. Offering two courses for £18 and three courses for £22, they&#8217;re keeping the good times rolling into the new year. It&#8217;s a fab menu too including things like a Pork apple and leek Scotch egg, Moules Britannia and Steak frites. Don&#8217;t mind if I do!</p>

This riverside gem has a fabulous outdoor terrace complete with heaters and snuggly blankets for those who fancy  dining alfresco. Or perhaps a table by the roaring log fire is more your style. <p>An award-winning pub overlooking the village green and duck pond in the village of Pirbright with seasonal menus and gorgeously stylish spots to pull up a pew. And until 13 February, there&#8217;s 50% of the a la carte menu main courses if you sign up to the mailing list. Make mine a bloody Mary prawn cocktail to start and a wild mushroom risotto for main. <p>The Castle in Farnham has stylish good looks and a cheeky menu to lure you away from last night’s leftovers. There&#8217;s a midweek set menu offering two courses for £17.95 or three courses for £21.95 for lunch or dinner Monday to Thursday. Choices include smoked haddock fishcakes, mushroom risotto and confit duck leg, among others. Midweek girly lunch? It&#8217;d be rude not to! And if turns into an all-day thing, there are two cocktails for £15 every day 5pm to 7pm.</p>

<p>Sitting pretty with great views out over Box Hill, this chic country inn has some great January (and February / March offers). The pub, just outside Dorking in the pretty village of Pixham, is offering two main meals and a bottle of wine for £45. The mains included in the deal are the aged rib and shin beef burger, plant based burger, beer-battered fish and chips, harissa lamb ragu and Sichuan spiced aubergine. Choose between a bottle of Côtes de Gascogne or the Tempranillo &#8216;Caminante&#8217;. It&#8217;s available Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 10pm until March 18.</p>

Pop in for a bite after an outing to the National Trust&#8217;s Hatchlands Park or Clandon Park, or RHS Wisley, which is also nearby.
