It’s time to sneak a peak behind the doors of&nbsp;a fabulous property from the area. And this month’s extravagant&nbsp;des-res? Church Gate. What a beaut!

We’re heading to Church Gate, a stunning estate just outside Oxted in Surrey. Set in 1.7 acres, this five bedroom house has some serious wow factor. The gardens were originally designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist Nic Howard. and as well as lovely mature borders, expansive lawns and woodland areas, there&#8217;s also a heated outdoor swimming pool. Sounds fab, right?!



You&#8217;ll also find a Nordic-style barbecue in the garden &#8211; ideal for year-round entertaining &#8211; and a children&#8217;s play area with a climbing frame and playhouse. Green-fingered gardeners will go green with envy when they see the veggie garden and green house, and there&#8217;s also an historic stable building which could be transformed into an artists studio, home gym, teenagers&#8217; retreat or home office. Oh, the possibilities.

Originally built in the Sixties, Church Gate has seen some major changes over the years and has come out as a true family gem that ticks all the boxes. Practical family living? Tick. Gorgeous interiors? Tick? Plenty of luxe touches? Yes, that too.

Come in through the double front doors &#8211; via the practical barn-style entrance porch &#8211; and you&#8217;re in a wide entrance hall with a lovely vaulted ceiling. Off to the left is the main living room, with another vaulted ceiling and French doors which open out onto the pool terrace.

Church Gate is in a lovely rural spot, on a country lane, just 5 miles from Oxted with it’s chi-chi shops, bars, Everyman cinema and restaurants, plus a popular leisure centre. The train line gives whizzy access to London Bridge/Victoria in about half an hour. The perfect commuter spot.



Local schools are excellent.
