<p>Dubbed the anti-ageing holy grail, it’s what Kim K, Amanda Holden and Gwyneth Paltrow swear by to get their bodies red carpet ready &#8211; and remember Judy Murray’s incredible transformation? But what actually is this wonder treatment, is it worth the hype and how do we book into the <a href="https://hsharleystreetclinic.com/morpheus-8/https://hsharleystreetclinic.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harley Street Clinic</a> to get it?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-is-morpheus8"><strong>What is Morpheus8?</strong></h2>



<p><a href="https://hsharleystreetclinic.com/morpheus-8/">Morpheus8 </a>is what’s called a “fractional skin treatment” that works to stimulate collagen (remember that?) within the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodelled and resurfaced to reveal a more radiant youthful appearance.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-but-what-exactly-is-fractionated-energy"><strong>But what exactly is fractionated energy?</strong></h2>



<p>Radio-frequency (RF) energy is a scientifically proven method to remodel and rebuild collagen. It is minimally invasive and combines a few different treatments in one. First, there&#8217;s micro-needling, which involves using tiny needles to puncture the skin, resulting in your body ramping up collagen production. Then, Radio-frequency energy is delivered through needles to heat up the skin again, prompting more collagen and elastin production.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-needles-sounds-painful-is-it"><strong>Needles? Sounds painful, is it?</strong></h2>



<p>Remember the mantra no pain no gain? Well let&#8217;s not sugar coat it &#8211; Morpheus8 isn&#8217;t the most comfortable treatment, but with the right prep, it&#8217;s totally manageable. The advice is to pre-emptively take pain medication a couple of hours before the session to help ease discomfort. A topical numbing cream is also usually used to reduce the pain beforehand.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-areas-can-be-treated"><strong>What areas can be treated?</strong></h2>



<p><a href="https://hsharleystreetclinic.com/morpheus-8/">Morpheus8</a> can be used anywhere that could benefit from resurfacing and renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the face, under the eyes, tummy (its particularly good after pregnancy or weight changes), thighs, legs, and buttocks.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-many-sessions-do-you-need"><strong>How many sessions do you need?</strong></h2>



<p>A course is always recommended &#8211; this isn’t a one hit treatment although you can see improvements after one session. Your clinic will recommend the number you need for optimal results based on your objectives and what is achievable. So no, you’re not going to resemble Gwyneth after one treatment &#8211; most people need 3-4 treatments to see noticeable results.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-quickly-will-i-see-results"><strong>How quickly will I see results?</strong></h2>



<p>Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear and improvements continue up to three months after treatment.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-can-i-wear-makeup-afterwards"><strong>Can I wear makeup afterwards?</strong></h2>



<p>Since patient downtime is minimal, a little makeup can be applied a few days days after treatment (phew!). You can expect a few micro lesions and slight redness depending on your skin’s condition, but everyone will react differently so you may want to avoid arranging any major events directly afterwards.</p>
