All you need to do is search your hometown to find your nearest run, sling on your trainers and go! Parkrun also organises junior races.

The course is a four-lap loop, and included in the price is a medal, official race photos, chip timed results and hopefully a great half marathon time!

When: Tues 4 Feb Where: Devils Punch Bowl car park, Hindhead ££: £16 What to expect: A guided trail run around this unique natural amphitheatre and beauty spot. The run is designed to be fun but tough, expect fantastic trails, views and lots of hills. The run starts at 7pm.

When:&nbsp;Sun 16 Feb Where: Gigg&#8217;s Hill Green, Thames Ditton ££:&nbsp;£39.50 &#8211; £44.50 What to expect: A fast and flat route over a super-pretty course that borders the river-side grounds of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace offers definite PB&nbsp;possibilities&nbsp;here. The route is pavement, pedestrian/cycle track, riverside way, and tarmac paths through parks.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-i-m-too-sexy-for-my-running-shirt-run-staines-upon-thames"><a href="https://findarace.com/events/im-too-sexy-for-my-running-shirt" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">I&#8217;m Too Sexy For My Running Shirt Run</a>, Staines-upon-Thames</h2>



When: Sat 8 Feb Where: The Last Hop, Staines-upon-Thames ££: £27-£40 What to expect: Choose your distance from 5k, 10k, half-marathon, marathon or ultra for this themed event. The course is a 7km loop which takes you along a stretch of the Thames River, along with some grass and trails. It&#8217;s 60 per cent tarmac. Medals are awarded to everyone who completes at least one lap.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-bushy-park-10k-charity-fun-run-hampton"><a href="https://www.mccpromotions.com/e/bushy-park-10k-charity-fun-run-3723">Bushy Park 10k Charity Fun Run</a>, Hampton</h2>



When: Sun 9 March Where: Bushy Park, Diana Car Park, Hampton Court Gate, Hampton ££: £16 What to expect: A small and friendly race, so a great one for beginners. It follows a 10k course though Bushy Park with a good chance to spot a deer or several. All runners receive a medal.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-surrey-half-marathon-and-5k-woking"><a href="https://www.surreyhalf.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Surrey Half Marathon and 5k</a>, Woking</h2>



When:&nbsp;Sun 16 March ££:&nbsp;£2-£38 What to expect:&nbsp;One of Surrey&#8217;s greatest annual events, attracting runners from all backgrounds and abilities. As well as the half marathon and 5k, there&#8217;s also a 2k kids&#8217; race. This scenic, single-lap event is set in the glorious countryside surrounding Woking and Guildford, and follows a fully closed road route from Woking town into the rural delights of nearby villages. There&#8217;s a great atmosphere with live performances from local bands.

When: Sun 23 March Where: Nonsuch Mansions, Cheam ££: £16 What to expect: A four-lap race starting and finishing in the Nonsuch Mansions Park. It&#8217;s a good course for those seeking a PB. The professionally designed route promises a perfect blend of flat stretches and invigorating inclines, catering to every level of fitness. There&#8217;s a medal for all finishers.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-magna-carta-summer"><a href="https://findarace.com/events/magna-carta/13th-july-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Magna Carta Summer</a></h2>



When: Sat 26 April Where: Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club,&nbsp;Riverside, Egham ££: £37.32 &#8211; £58.53 What to expect: With a 10k, half marathon and marathon distances, this event follows a lapped course that takes in some of the most scenic parts of the River Thames, including the Queen Elizabeth statue, JFK Memorial, Magna Carta landmark, Old Windsor and the turnaround at the Old Windsor Lock. All runners will receive a Magna Carta finishers medal, and prizes will be awarded for the male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-run-frimley-2024"><a href="https://www.frimleyhealthcharity.org/event/run-frimley-2024/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Run Frimley 2024</a> </h2>



When: Sun 4 May Where: Sturt Road, Camberley ££: £13-£23 What to expect: A charity event to raise money for the Frimley Park Hospital Dementia Appeal. There&#8217;s a closed 5k and 10k road race plus a 1-mile colourful fun run plus a vibrant event village with performers, face painting, musica and stalls. There are two routes &#8211; both of which are wheelchair and pushchair friendly &#8211; plus chip timing, a finishing medal and refreshments for all.

When:&nbsp;Sun 18 May ££:&nbsp;£16 What to expect: A popular event, this swift four-lap cross country course starts and finishes at Reigate&#8217;s Priory Park. It offers runners a great chance to set a PB in a stunning setting.

When: Sun 29 June Where: Lloyd Park, Croydon ££: £11-£15.99 (get 50% off entry with code RACE25NY until 31 Jan) What to expect: Raising money for cancer research (there&#8217;s a minimum fund-raising target of £50), the Race for Life runs are popular throughout the country. This one takes place in Lloyd Park on a route that includes some hills. The 10k event is chip timed.

The finish is in the same place. The 10k is a double lap of the 5k course.&nbsp;For the Pretty Muddy 5k, runners will Climb, crawl and slide your way around the Pretty Muddy® obstacle course at your own pace.&nbsp;It&#8217;s all about having fun!

Distances are 5k, 10k, 21k and 50k. Races are chip timed and all runners receive free official event photos and a medal, plus post race goodies.

With kids&#8217; races on offer (the Kids&#8217; Tristar Aquathlons are the perfect introductory event for children aged 8 to 14) this is an event for the whole family to enjoy. Designed for personal bests, first timers, and kids who want to get involved, this event is perfect for everyone.
