The club offers lessons and practice sessions for all levels,  from the complete novice to experienced shooters. Clay shooting at Bisley can be an ideal family activity. It’s something men, women and children can do together on equal terms. The fact it’s in a beautiful location is an added bonus.

As well as one-to-one and group tuition, the club also hosts shooting days open exclusively to women and children.

The Young Shots Day offers a morning of shooting for 10-16 year olds and includes tuition, safety equipment, guns, cartridges and food.

For ladies who like a bit of exhilaration with their lunch, there are regular Ladies’ Days which includes breakfast, tuition, all clays and cartridges and lunch.

History

There’s a lovely history too. The club was founded in 1895. The quintessentially English Victorian clubhouse was originally built in 1865 on Wimbledon Common as the headquarters for advisors to the government on the future of shooting. It was taken down and moved to Bisley in 1895, and has remained there ever since.

Bisley is renowned for its expert tuition and facilities. The grounds are continually being developed to ensure an unbeatable service and variety of targets. For the beginner looking for an introduction to the sport or a seasoned shot, Bisley Shooting Ground is ideally situated and has been called the most beautiful shooting ground in the country.
