The Cock Inn is a classic country pub in Headley, just a stone’s throw from the National Trust’s Headley Heath where there are plenty of fabulous walks to help you work up an appetite. It’s also handily located just off the M25 near Epsom and Leatherhead.

Interiors are gorgeously traditional with nods to the equestrian world (Epsom Racecourse is not far).  Think bare timber floors, exposed brick open fire places, wooden beams and soft furnishings in mix of tartan and print.

With great walking spots right on the doorstep – Box Hill is also less than three miles away – The Cock Inn is a pub that’s super dog friendly.

It’s a pub for all seasons with roaring open fires in the colder months and a fabulous outdoor terrace with stunning views out over the surrounding countryside for warmer days.

Eat in

Menus are fresh and seasonal, and comes as much as possible ingredients are from local suppliers. Expect elevated British classics like eight-hour beef bourguignon, wild mushroom risotto and duck liver parfait. The fabulous breakfast and brunch menus, available on Saturdays and Sundays, are super popular drawing a dedicated crowed from near and far. Afternoon tea is also available.

A dedicated healthy eating menu was launched in 2025 – which is handy for those tracking their intake. The menu gives a breakdown of calories, carbs, protein and fat. Choices include things like rump cap steak, tandoori spiced trout and salt baked beetroot. Of course, there are roasts on Sundays (honey-roasted belly of pork, Norfolk chicken, West Country lamb, dry-aged beefl and roast pumpkin and mushroom pithivier). Kids also have their own dedicated menu.

Drinks

Just after a drink? No problem! There’s a great selection of cocktails, fine wines and craft beers. plus real ales, lagers and cider.

If you’re planning a special event, or you’re looking for somewhere to host a corporate lunch, the pub as a private dining room, The Derby Room, which can cater for 30 people for a sit down meal, or 40 for an informal buffet.
