Bang in the centre of Working, in the Peacocks Centre is the Nova Cinema, a buzzy, well-organised hub of film and screenings and more. There’s always a wide range of shows on offer, so its schedule is well worth a peruse — from children’s shows to Hollywood big hitters, live screenings and classics. And more besides!

Following a complete refurbishment, Nova Cinema now has seven stylish screens, including one luxury screen, a brand-new premium bar and a cutting-edge media suite for community and business hire.

The best in cinematic technology has been installed with state-of-the-art laser projection and top of the range sound throughout including Dolby ATMOS in Screen One for extra immersion. Plus, the foyers have been completely revamped to create even more space to safely relax and grab a bite before or after the film.

The programme includes Nova Kids – family-friendly films at family-friendly prices (a fiver for each member of the family); and Nova Tots where the lights are brighter and the sound is lower. There’s also Silver Nova – screenings for the over 60s who can enjoy a great film and a hot drink for just £6.50. There are also relaxed screenings – showings with no ads, the sound is turned down to a lower volume, the lights are kept on and all audience members are able to talk and move around freely.

The membership programme – Super Nova – offers five film tickets, 10% off food and drinks, 10% off adult tickets and 10% off screen hire for £60 a year.
