The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre offers and exciting mix of classical and contemporary work staged by new, lesser-known and established writers, on both the Main Stage and in the Mill Studio.  Ballet, opera and children’s events as well as music, comedy and contemporary dance all feature in the programme of events. And of course there’s also Guildford’s ever-popular annual Christmas family pantomime.

The smaller stage in the Mill Studio offers fantastic work from emerging artists, and an annual art exhibition. This is also the base for the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre

A Grade 2-listed building – named after French-born pianist, singer and actress Germaine Yvonne Arnaud who had made her home in Effingham – the theatre has a range of attractive rooms and spaces available for hire for anything from business meetings to birthday parties. There’s also a café overlooking the River Wey.
