Set on the banks of the River Wey in the heart of Guildford, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is a thriving cultural hub with both local charm and national reach.

Its programme spans everything from classical drama and contemporary productions to ballet, opera, comedy, live music and family shows – including Guildford’s much-loved annual Christmas pantomime. Alongside the Main Stage, the intimate Mill Studio champions emerging artists, new writing and annual art exhibitions, and is also home to the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre.

Named after French-born actress and singer Germaine Yvonne Arnaud, who later made her home in Effingham, the Grade II-listed theatre is as elegant as it is versatile. There’s also a riverside café and a range of stylish spaces available to hire for events, parties and business meetings.
