Celebrate the oncoming of spring, and all its blessings, with baby animal meet and greets as well as spring themed crafts at Godstone Farm. There is also an egg drop challenge for those willing. All the normal activities will also be open! Normal admission applies.

Bluey

Everyone’s favourite on-screen personality, Bluey, is coming to Kew for the Easter period. There will be interactive activities both indoors and outdoors, incorporating fun facts about the plants and species surrounding the loveable blue dog. The event is included in general admission.

Easter Holiday Fun

Follow the trail around RHS to find the giant decorated eggs around the gardens, all designed by competition winners. Once all have been found, participants can collect a chocolatey surprise. Included in general admission, check the site for opening times!

Easter Eggstravaganza

Experience Easter in style with Easter Bunny and Shepard meet and greets, trails and little chicks and rabbits to top off your day. There are also tractor and trailer rides taking place throughout the day and live Easter shows. Booking is necessary.

Easter at Hobbledown

Hobbledown is hosting egg-stra special holiday fun these Easter Holidays with outdoor adventures and animal encounters for families of all ages. Activities on offer include a golden egg hunt, the bunny hop championship, spring story time, Hobble Hood archery and animal talks. Normal admission applies.

Cooking up a feast with Grizwald the Griffin

For any little ones needing a run around, Grizwald needs some energetic helpers to help him cook up his Easter feast. Follow the trail around Polesden and is willing to offer rewards for successful participants. The trail costs £3 to take part in and is open from 10am-3pm.

Easter Bunny Train Ride

Enjoy a trip around the vineyard on Denbies Easter Bunny Train Ride with a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself. Spot the golden Easter eggs throughout the vineyard, ticking them off in your Easter train passport. Find all 3 golden eggs to win an Easter prize. Family days: Patterns of Nature

Explore Watts Gallery’s 18 acres of blossoming forest lands with the family for a perfect springtime run-about. There will be a range of activities for everyone to connect with and draw inspiration from nature – from capturing patterns under microscopes, and painting ‘en plein air’, to building homes for little creatures. Ideal for children under 12, but all are welcome.

Family Open Days

The Grade I-listed medieval manor house at West Horsley Place is open to visitors on selected days during the Easter holidays with plenty of activities to keep the littles amused. There will be a craft room full of Easter art activities, outdoor games, dress up and a rabbit rail in the formal gardens full of fun facts. Find all the rabbits and win a little chocolate treat. Entry is £12 adults and £6 children.

Surrey Hills Spring Fair

Shuck off winter and celebrate spring in at the Rural Life Living Museum, where there will be activities that showcase the richness of the culture, heritage and natural beauty of the Surrey Hills. Visit the The Royal Mews

Royal lustre, glittering coaches and a horse or two. Love the pomp and ceremony of royal events? Head straight for the Royal Mews – a working royal stables responsible for the King’s road travel. A stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, you can get up close to the fairytale-like Gold State Coach used in coronations since 1821 and the Rolls Royce Phantom VI used in royal weddings. You can even climb aboard a reproduction landau for that essential photo opp, tack up a (wooden) pony, and ‘ooh and aah’ over the other carriages and shiny bits of kit. A great day out for all ages. Milkshake Live on Holiday!

Science Museum

For any Einsteins in the making, the Science Museum show seeks to explain and explore some of the most out-of-this-world experiments. The whole family can enjoy an afternoon of whizzing, popping and banging. The show starts at 1.30pm and tickets are available from £19.

I Know an Old Lady

The story we all know and love, of a little old lady who has unfortunately swallowed a fly, comes to the stage! With the 50^th anniversary of the nursery rhyme coming up, the show features puppetry and live action sequences to encapsulate the perfect levels of nostalgia. Tickets cost £15.

The Lion Inside

Based on the book by Rachel Bright and Jim Field, The Lion Inside tells the story of a little mouse and his wish to be a bit bigger. Upon meeting a fearful lion, he discovers the biggest creates aren’t always the bravest. Suitable for ages 3+, tickets available from £15.

Young Shots Day

Any budding clay pigeon shooting experts in the family? ‘Young shots’ is the perfect day to have a go at this sport, or hone their talents. The day includes expert instruction, all equipment and food. The price is £115 per person for non-members, for ages 10-16. Book by Wed 3 April.

Easter Holiday Aquasport activity camps

Get out on the water after the winter! No prior water sports experience is needed, the water sessions in Aquasport’s multi-activity camp focus on having fun on the water. Activities are on offer include kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing, paddle boarding and dinghy sailing. The camps are from 9.30-1.30pm, and for kids aged 8-13 years.

For those a little older wanting to polish their ceramic expertise over the break, Watts Creatives session offers a variety of technique building, from pinch pots to slab building. For ages 13-17, the sessions are at 10am and 2pm and cost £27.50 for non-members.

Create Together – Easter Basket

Create your own Easter basket, featuring a little baby chick to complete the look. Lead by Sarah Metclafe, little ones will be lead through the simple process of creating their little basket and be given some chocolate eggs to fill it! Calling all Amateur Shakespeare’s out there, Yvonne Arnaud is hosting a poetry workshop for 7–11-year-olds complete with a series of props to help inspire your inner creativity. Easter Classic Gathering

Enjoy a day dedicated to appreciating the incoming warmer weather, and some vintage cars while you’re at it. Brooklands gathering features live music, BBQ, and a Traders Village to peruse some spring season goodies. Check the site to see if your vintage vehicle is welcome for the static display. Easter at the Museum

There’s nothing quite like a baby lamb to welcome springtime. Enjoy a series of ‘woolly themed’ activities, like spinning and weaving, as well as Easter crafts to get stuck into. The café will be open for any necessary refreshments. Recommended for ages 3-11, children cost £5 entry and adults go free!

Easter Egg Hunt

Basil the Bunny is in need of an entourage of help him succeed at his job! Little ones are invited to become the Easter Bunnies assistant for the day and ensure all of his duties are carried out perfectly. The trail costs £3, with a small prize at the end.

Easter Egg Hunt

Box Hill’s Easter Egg Hunt take you through the natural play area, with different games and obstacles needed to be completed to collect the treat at the end of the trail. Participation costs £3, the trail takes place between 10am-4pm.

The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt

Explore the historic grounds of the Tudor residence, while on the hunt for miniature golden bunny statues. they’ll be hidden across the gardens of the palace. If you manage to find them all a Lindt chocolate is in your future! The hunt is included in palace admission, running from 10am-5.30pm

Big Easter Egg Statue Trail

If you need a slightly bigger target to find, Painshill’s Big Egg hunt has a multitude of giant figures dotted around the grounds. Pick up a trail sheet at the entrance, the trail is included in general admission.

Hatchland’s offers an Easter trail consisting of challenges, games and even a bit of poetry to earn a chocolatey treat at the end. The trail costs £3 and includes

Earn a well-deserved Easter treat at Gatton, after solving the trail and completing the hunt, little ones will be rewarded with a much-needed prize. Refreshments will be available to purchase.
