They’re going to love Aqua Sports camps. In addition to key water sports like paddlesports and windsurfing, Aqua Sports’ offers challenging land games such as the ‘Ziggurat Wall’, ‘Peg Pole Forest’, and ‘Slacklining’, and don’t forget raft building! There’s the option of one-day camps (9.30am-4.30pm) &#8211; book as many days as you like &#8211; or weekly camps.

There are 40 activities to choose from each week, everything from dancing to football to inflatables to nature trails, swimming and roller racing, and for the little ones when they’re completely pooped, story time. The camps are held at independent schools throughout the county (so there’s certain to be one nearby) – with fab indoor and outdoor facilities. They’re un by Early Years qualified teachers, educators and sports coaches.

Got a budding actor in your family? The week-long musical theatre camp might be just the ticket. Other themed camps include coding and robotics, football, netball, crafty kids, hockey and swim (and that’s not even all of them!). Start and finish times vary between camps.



<a href="https://www.epsomcollege.org.uk/whats-on/summer-camps/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Summer camps</a> ■ Epsom College, Epsom ■ Various dates from Mon 15 July &#8211; Fri 23 Aug There&#8217;s a choice of different camps on throughout the summer holidays each with a theme. Choose from art workshops, cricket courses, summer multi-sport, computing workshops, drama and stage management, football, netball and tennis. The camps are for children aged 8 &#8211; 13. Costs vary depending on the course, but all food and refreshments are included.

<a href="https://www.barfieldpst.org/activity-camps" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Three Peaks Activity Camps </a> ■ Barfield School, Runfold ■ Mon 10 July to Fri 1 Sept These camps are all about having fun outdoors &#8211; think high ropes courses, climbing quad biking and archery. They&#8217;re open to all ages from Reception to Year 8. The camps run from 9am to 4pm with free early drop-off from 8.30am and the option of late pick-up at 6pm. Cost is £190 per week.

Prices vary according to which camp you&#8217;re doing.

For a camp that caters to the arty, crafty, thespy or just non-sporty kid, Camp Beaumont is for you. The emphasis is not just on keeping kids entertained and get them outdoors and active, but to challenge them, teach them how to relax and unwind, learn to express themselves and connect with other kids. Sessions are from 8.30am to either 4.30 or 5.30pm.

You can book a single day (£42) or the 3 day mega experience (£117). It’s for kids aged 4-14. The day runs from 9am-4pm, or you can book extended hours and do from 8am-6pm.

Cost is £90 for the week for one child.



<a href="https://www.fairfield.co.uk/events/summer-stage-academy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Summer Stage Academy</a> ■ John Whitgift Community Cube Studio, Fairfield Halls, Croydon ■ Mon 15 Aug &#8211; Fri 19 Aug An accessible, inclusive, creative, and fun summer holiday programme for children aged 8-12 years where the kids will learn to sing, dance and act. It&#8217;s a week-long camp that culminates in a show on the Friday afternoon that families are welcome to watch. It&#8217;s from 9am-5pm. Cost is £150 for the week (lunch is included), and there&#8217;s the option of an early drop off at 8am and late pick up at 6pm for an extra £10 per day.

<a href="https://www.painshill.co.uk/events/wild-summer-camp/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wild Summer Forest School Camp</a> ■ Painshill, Cobham ■ Tues 23 July &#8211; Thurs 22 Aug If you&#8217;ve got an outdoorsy kid, they&#8217;ll love the Forest School activity camps for 8-11 year olds at Painshill. They&#8217;ll build dens, light fires, cook on a campfire, track animals, paint with mud, make sculptures, climb trees, weave willow and more. And the best bit (besides the fun they&#8217;ll be having)? They&#8217;ll be so worn out they&#8217;ll probably put themselves to bed.



<a href="https://www.surreywildlifetrust.org/events/2023-08-01-wild-explorers-holiday-club-nower-wood-summer-2023">Wild Explorers Holiday Club</a> ■ Nower Wood Educational Centre, Leatherhead ■ Tue 30 July &#8211; Thurs 22 Aug Suitable for children aged 5-11, the Wild Explorers Holiday Club is jam-packed with outdoor adventures to keep your wild ones busy! The club includes activities such as woodland survival, pond dipping, mini-beast hunting and forest schools fun. It runs from 9.30am-3:30pm on Tues and Thurs. Cost is £50 per day.
