<p>Young’s is growing its portfolio of pubs-with-rooms with the launch of the gorgeous <strong><u><a href="https://www.tellersarmsfarnham.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Teller’s Arms</a></u></strong>&nbsp;on Castle Street, Farnham. The former bank has been transformed into a 168-cover pub with nine boutique bedrooms, a roof terrace and events spaces. It is headed by chef Ryan Patterson who has created a menu with a focus on seasonal British produce. There are also nine brand-new boutique bedrooms. Think sundowner spritz on the terrace, working lunches (where the food is as good as the WiFi) and Sunday lunches. Can&#8217;t wait to check in! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-birdworld-goes-big"><strong>Birdworld goes big</strong></h2>



<p>The popular Surrey attraction will undergo a multi-million pound redevelopment including the largest indoor play area in the region and a huge new outdoor playground. <a href="https://www.birdworld.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Birdworld</a>&#8216;s major revamp will make the 26-acre park into a year-round destination inspired by the natural landscape. There will be a garden centre with a restaurant, a  play barn with a 1,500-square-foot café and play area filled with imaginative &#8216;birdhouses&#8217;, slides and sensory equipment. <p>Yay! Woking’s new 189-room <a href="https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/xwowghi-hilton-woking/?msockid=2daf276b4206659d373a350d43e6645c" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hilton</a> has opened its doors in the newly-developed Victoria Square within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and New Victoria Theatre. Inside, the hotel boasts 14 suites and executive rooms with access to a swanky lounge on the 22nd floor. Each room has panoramic views of Woking and surrounding countryside. There’s also a 24/7 fitness centre, as well as a number of culinary destinations. We love the look of the LOFT Sky Bar  which serves cocktails and a Pan-Asian menu designed to be shared. The OXBO restaurant on the 21st floor celebrates farm-to-fork British cuisine, or for a more casual gathering the GLOW Lounge has a more modern barista experience. There are also extensive event facilities, including Surrey’s largest hotel ballroom with a theatre-style capacity of 609 people and a banqueting capacity of 384. Phew! </p>

<p>The Guildford Institute has to opened an accessible mental health support service for the local community. The community hub has transformed the ground floor space on North Street into a <a href="https://www.guildford-institute.org.uk/consulting-rooms-available-new-community-wellbeing-centre/">Community &amp; Wellbeing Centre</a>, to provide accessible mental health support services. This welcoming space is home to a team of professional therapists and counsellors who operate from six bespoke rooms. Th beautiful artwork has been donated by local artist Becca Clegg.</p>

<p>Ooh, a new retail treat in Reigate! A must-visit is the new <a href="https://www.murray-designs.co.uk/">Murray Designs</a> on the site of the former Gerrards boutique at No5 High Street. An expert kitchen design business already established in Charlwood, they also sell a lovely range of eclectic giftware including Christmas gifts. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-surrey-pride-hub-opens"><strong>Surrey pride hub opens</strong></h2>



<p>A new LGBTQ+ venue has just opened in Surrey. <a href="https://www.prideinsurrey.org/pridehub" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pride Hub</a> opened its doors in November offering a space for queer people to meet, socialise and get information. Located on Egham High Street in Egham it will also host several social groups, workshops and music events, showcasing queer talent, history and to share knowledge among LGBTQ+ people. It was officially opened by club queen and Pride in Surrey patron Hazell Dean and Mayor of Runnymede Councillor Elaine Gill.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-hampton-court-festival-new-acts-announced"><strong>Hampton Court Festival new acts announced</strong></h2>

<p>Looking forward to next year and Hampton Court have announced further acts to perform at the 2025 edition of the <a href="https://hamptoncourtpalacefestival.com/">summer festival</a>. Soul-pop titan&nbsp;Rag’n’Bone Man&nbsp;and 80’s pop icons&nbsp;Bananarama&nbsp;will take to the stage in the historic Base Court of the Palace on Thursday 12 June and Saturday 14 June respectively. On Sunday 15 June the festival will also welcome rugby legends Haskell, Mike Tindall and Alex Payne for a very special live edition of the hit podcast&nbsp;The Good, The Bad &amp; The Rugby. </p>
