<p>Add this soon-to-be hotspot to your list. Building on the success of The Cadogan Arms and The George in London is this new opening in Chiswick. Say hello to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thehoundchiswick/">The Hound</a> &#8211; a fab drinking and dining spot. Fully kitted out with a pub, two private dining rooms, a covered outdoor courtyard and a south-facing terrace its the perfect spot for when the sun finally shows its face (but with a retractable roof for wet days!).  Housed in the walls of a historic Victorian police station, it’s set to become a new drinking and dining destination for West Londoners. Hopefully opening by the end of July.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-mimoza-bar-amp-kitchen-ewell"><strong>Mimoza Bar &amp; Kitchen, Ewell</strong></h2>



<p>Turkish food fans are in for a treat in the shape of <a href="http://mimozabarkitchen.uk/index.html">Mimoza Bar &amp; Kitchen,</a> opening soon on the High Street in Ewell. Replacing Hanedan Restaurant &amp; Meze which recently closed, the new eatery promises delicious and authentic Turkish dishes in the heart of Surrey. <p>Looking for somewhere exclusive to host a stylish wedding or party? Look no further than this stunning new event venue opening this summer just outside Epsom. Dating back to the 17th Century and once famously hosting Royalty, <a href="https://www.greengateepsom.com/">Green Gate</a> is a stunning red brick mini-stately home built in the mid 1700s. It has an impressive four acres of manicured lawn enjoying views up the gentle slopes of the Downs.  </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-ottolenghi-richmond"><strong>Ottolenghi, Richmond</strong></h2>



<p>Oooh. Lucky Richmond residents who will soon be able to enjoy the ninth branch of <a href="https://ottolenghi.co.uk/pages/about">Ottolenghi</a> which opens soon in Surrey. The food shop, deli, restaurant, and bakery which is rooted in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions is the brainchild of Yotam Ottolenghi, an Israeli-born chef and food writer based in London.</p>

<p>Muddy award winning cafe <a href="https://www.charlieandginger.com/">Charlie &amp; Ginger</a> are set to open a second branch in Epsom. The coffee shop is famed for its live music and brunch which they serve until 2pm seven days a week. The new site in a historic building on the high street is set to open any day now. <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cocotte-richmond"><strong>Cocotte, Richmond</strong></h2>



<p>It’s all happening in KT2 as <a href="https://mycocotte.uk/">Cocotte</a> a top-end rotisserie chicken restaurant is set to open soon as well. The 62-cover venue joins branches in London’s Notting Hill, Parson’s Green, Queen’s Park, Shoreditch and South Kensington. Its delicious signature chicken is marinated for 24 hours in a secret blend of herbs and spices and cooked until crispy at the skin. Yum!</p>

<p><a href="https://megans.co.uk/">Megan’s</a> known for its gorgeous Mediterranean-themed interior and delicious menu, has just opened in Weybridge on Church Street. It&#8217;s opened in the space where Laura Ashley was previously, having acquired the shop shortly after the pandemic. The independently-owned, dog-friendly collection of restaurants are open for brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails everyday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-sad-goodbyes"><strong>Sad goodbyes</strong></h2>



<p>It’s a sad goodbye to the Fox and Hounds in Englefield Green which is closing it’s doors after 13 years as the landlord and his family are moving on. It’s not yet clear when the popular pub will reopen, but hopefully the closure is just temporary during a change of ownership. You’ll be the first to know!</p>



<p>Chef Joshua Hunter has announced the sad closure of his restaurant Hawthorn in Kew Village after just 18 months trading, citing unsustainable market conditions. The high-end restaurant that featured in the Michelin guide served modern European food. Hunter says he hopes to have a new venture soon. Watch this space!</p>
