EVENT:&nbsp;<a href="https://farnhammaltings.com/events/christmas-fair" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Christmas Fair</a> ■ Farnham Maltings ■ Wed 20 – Thurs 21 November For all your Christmas themed needs, over 140 stalls will be open for business and selling everything from craft foods to artisan gifts. The entry fee is £3, and the fair is open from 10am-9pm on Wednesday, and 10am-5pm on Thursday.



COMEDY:&nbsp;<a href="https://trafalgartickets.com/g-live-guildford/en-GB/event/other/hellfire-comedy-club-21-nov-tickets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hellfire Comedy Club</a> ■ G Live, Guildford ■ Thurs 21 November Hellfire hosts some of the most notable up-and-comers in the circuit. With the old chestnut of the Curry and Comedy combo, it’s a sure-fire thing. Tickets cost £37.50, and doors open at 6.30pm.



THEATRE:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.fairfield.co.uk/events/swan-lake-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Swan Lake</a> ■ Fairfield Concert Hall, Croydon ■ Thurs 21 November Experience one of the most famed Ballet shows, with a live Orchestra of over 30 musicians. Following young Odette as she is turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer. The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are available from £36. Concessions are available.



LIGHT TRAIL:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/wisley/whats-on/glow-at-wisley" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Glow Wisley</a> ■&nbsp;&nbsp;RHS Garden Wisley, near Woking&nbsp;■&nbsp;Fri 22 November – 5 January&nbsp;2025 See the garden come alive at night with fantastical illuminations to light your way on this enchanting festive trail. This year there’s a new route through the&nbsp;Seven Acres, past giant flowers that come to life with a simple touch, to the&nbsp;Glasshouse&nbsp;for an experience that promises to wow. Stroll through the Tropical House and see tropical plants lit up in all their glory. For the first time ever, a floating pontoon will take you over the Glasshouse Lake, giving you a breathtaking view of the garden as never seen before. It’s on from 4pm-9pm (last entry is 7.45pm).



TALK:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/wisley/viewevent?EFID=3593&amp;ESRC=CMS" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Birth Flowers</a> ■ RHS Garden, Wisley ■ Fri 22 November Discover the historical significance of the ‘Birth Flower’ and what yours may mean, with items from the library archives shedding light on the superstition. &nbsp;The talk is included in general admission and runs from 11am-11.15am, you can prebook if needed!



MUSIC:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.guildford-institute.org.uk/event/free-event-open-mic-night/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Open Mic Night</a> ■ The Guildford Institute, Guildford ■ Sat 23 November Musicians, singers, poets and comedians take to the stage at The Guildford Institute and give it a go – whether experienced or just starting out. Performer slots are already booked out, so this one’s just for spectators. It’s on from 7pm, and a licensed bar will be open during the event. It’s free to attend.

Celebrating the life of an extraordinary artist, author and illustrator, the exhibition explores Cicely’s journey as an artist – from her childhood sketches to postcard designs and the illustrated books she created later in life. The exhibition is included in general admission.
