Expect freshly cooked food from pastries and sausage rolls to a seasonal lunch menu made with home-grown produce. Coffee is from Dorking roasters, Chimney Fire Coffee.</p>

<p>Open daily 10am-5pm this cute café on the site of the amazing Watt Gallery – Artist’s Village is a must and a great stop if you’re a walker or cyclist on the North Downs Way. Drop in and visit the gardens, galleries and historic house and then enjoy their great Welsh Rarebit and mushrooms on toast, plus plus a range of gorgeous cakes and scones. </p>

<p>If you&#8217;re a lover of coffee, Pinnock&#8217;s in Ripley is the place you need to be. At this café on the High Street they&#8217;re passionate about coffee and offer a variety of different varieties. Each cup is made with freshly-ground beans using the drip method. There&#8217;s also a range of homemade salads, wraps and sandwiches plus indulgent homemade cakes and handmade chocolates. Interiors are rustic &#8211; think exposed beams, low ceilings and of cosy mis-matched armchairs. </p>

<p>This Muddy award-winning independent coffee house in Leatherhead&#8217;s North Street serves up speciality coffee (from London-based roaster, Ozone), organic loose leaf teas, an organic brunch menu and a selection of freshly made pastries, cakes and sandwiches. Interiors are cool and contemporary &#8211; think polished concrete floors, industrial lighting and mid-century armchairs. There are also long tables with bench-seats &#8211; perfect when you&#8217;re catching up with a crowd. And good news for Epsomians (??!), as Charlie and Ginger now have a café in the High Street, right a across from the Ashley Centre. </p>

<p>Lovers of cakes, cookies, tarts and buns, pay attention! Canakin in Reigate has a range of sweet goodies that look so good they&#8217;re guaranteed to spice up your insta feed. Cakes and pastries are baked fresh every day, and there&#8217;s also a choice of savoury pastries like quiches and sausage rolls. Of course, you can also get a good cuppa.</p>

<p>A family-run café that specialises in all things tea? We like! There are more than 35 varieties of loose leaf tea on the menu &#8211; everything from Earl grey to lotus rose tea. They also serve up a homemade selection of pastries (insider info: cinnamon swirls are to die for!), quie (half quiche, half pie), soups, salads and bagels, plus afternoon teas. There&#8217;s also a very respectable martini cocktail list too. Just saying!</p>

<p>Serving up an all-day breakfast, which includes things like smoked bacon on a brioche bap, as well as small but perfectly formed lunch menu plus homemade pastries. The Scotch eggs are said to be legendary. Artisan coffee comes from East London coffee roasters Union Coffee and tea is from the Brew Tea Company. Dogs are welcome too.</p>

<p>Is this café Guildford&#8217;s best-kept secret? We think so! Tucked away in the grounds of Allen House Gardens in the centre of town, this cosy retreat offers coffee, tea and light bites in a cool, quirky and cosy environment. The café is run as a social enterprise by the Christian charity Matrix. It&#8217;s closed Sunday and Monday.</p>

<p>If your catch up involves pooches, head to Heather Farm Café on Horsell Common. There&#8217;s plenty of outdoor seating for days when the sun is shining, but inside it&#8217;s warm and cosy for days when you need to warm up after a bracing walk. As well as a brunch menu, there&#8217;s plenty of options for lunch including sandwiches, wraps, burgers, jacket potatoes, soups and salads. Plus teas, coffees hot chocolates, smoothies and a variety of cakes. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cafe-barbera-cobham"><a href="https://www.cafebarbera.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Café Barbera</a>, Cobham</h2>



<p>It&#8217;s all about the coffee at his coffee house in Stoke D&#8217;Abernon. You&#8217;ll find a range of authentic Italian coffees alongside a menu of Italian-inspired Panini sandwiches, Mediterranean style salads and a large choice of pastries. More than 30 different handcrafted coffees are offered.</p>
