And the best place to live in Surrey is …
Sitting pretty at the foot of the North Downs with a fab indie high street, plenty of parkland and a vibrant community spirit, we have a worthy winner!
The hanging baskets were primped, the shop windows polished and it was a tooth-and-nail contest among Surrey’s finest towns and villages. But your votes in the inaugural Muddy ‘Best Places to Live’ competition have now been counted and …*drumroll*… we’re delighted to announce that the worthy winner is:
This lovely historic market town in south east Surrey has it all – buzzy cafés and restaurants, an excellent range of indie stores including fashion boutiques, the wonderfully large Priory Park right in the centre of town and fabulous scenic walking right on the doorstep. If you’re after a good drop of wine, there’s a brilliant wine merchant – and wine bar – in the centre.
And Reigate has the kind of community spirit you usually on see on Get The Midwife. Every year (when we’re not staying home due to Covid restrictions) there’s a bunch of brilliant community events – from food to fitness festivals and fairs. Here, read our full Best Places to Live guide to Reigate to get a 360 on what makes it so special, and check out the final voting results below.
