Seriously stylish, this cottage-style house in Oxted was built only five years ago. But can you guess what this beauty is worth?
We love to snoop around other peoples houses on Muddy, and this one gets a massive thumbs up for sophisticated and elegant design. Seriously, check out the pics of this baby and tell me if this doesn’t look like a house that’s been styled for a magazine?
Say a big he-e-ll0 to Sorrel House, this insanely attractive five double bedroom, three reception room house nestled on an exclusive private estate surrounded by woodlands and meadows, and yet just a stone’s throw from Oxted town centre.
The house was built by Millwood Designer Homes in 2013 – so she’s only just turned five years old – and everything about the house screams luxury.
The kitchen has been kitted out with bespoke cabinets, sleek granite worktops and high-end appliances (which were chosen with energy saving in mind). All the techy stuff is in place in the main living rooms and there’s pre-wiring for a multi-room audio system. Seriously, Sorrel House , now you’re just showing off!
There’s a real emphasis on light and space here – all the rooms are bright and airy and big. The drawing room is triple aspect with double French doors opening onto a south facing terrace. That means it gets the sun all afternoon peoples. Pour me another sangria!
The terrace also leads back into the open plan kitchen / dining / living space. I love all these spaces that flower into each other. It’s a house that’s been designed with entertaining in mind. But there’s also a separate family room (teenage retreat), as well as a study and utility room downstairs.
Upstairs, of the five double bedrooms, three have en suite bathrooms – but it’s the main bedroom that has my heart beating faster – with its own dressing room and en suite, as well as a balcony looking out over the garden. Upstairs there’s also a family bathroom.
Did someone say garden? Oh yes they did! This one’s huuuge with beautifully kept lawns over most of the three quarters of an acre. Several large mature trees lend an air of elegant permanence to it all as well as hedges which also makes this house very private. Out the front, there’s a wide driveway which leads to a detached double garage.
What else can I tell you about it? Well It’s on Wilderness Road in, a town – in case you don’t know it – that’s like catnip for commuters and parents looking for good schools. Remember that when you’re guessing the price.
Okay then. Ready to guess? Go on then -(drrrrrrrrrumroll) – see if you guessed right on the price. Well, did you?!
