The Kings Arms, Egham
An award-winning gastropub with stylish interiors, a changing menu that champions local and regional artisan suppliers, and six boutique bedrooms.
We’re a little bit in love with The Kings Arms, an oh-so-chic gastropub in Egham.
The interiors are gorgeous, full of stylish nooks and crannies, and beautiful bold colours and designs. Everywhere you turn your gaze it’s stunningly put together.
As well as the main dining space the Old House Brasserie, which is a buzzing and relaxed area, there’s an atrium-style space called The Menagerie with a retractable roof and greenery everywhere you look. There are also bar areas, and a variety of spaces for private gatherings including The Courtroom, a private dining room with a large banquet style table. Outside, there’s also a lovely courtyard.
But it’s not style over substance at The Kings Arms. The food here is also fantastic – the seasonal menu focuses on pub classics with a twist, that showcase the best ingredients from the field, farms and shores within the great British Isles.
As well as breakfast and brunch, you can book in for afternoon tea. There are also sandwiches and baps plus an a la carte menu and a menu for young diners.
As a getaway, this is a classy choice. There are six individually designed bedrooms each one oozing elegance and luxury. We’re talking free-standing copper bathtubs, organic toiletries by Bramley, thick fluffy robes and king-size beds.
Very nice indeed!
