<p>The super stylish Light cinemas are a cut above your usual multiplex. It&#8217;s part of The Light entertainment complex in <a href="https://redhill.thelight.co.uk/cinema" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redhill</a> which also houses a bowling alley, climbing and mini-golf. There are six state-of-the-art screens, all with super-comfy seating including plush armchairs, electric recliners, sofa seats and full-length lounger beds. The screening rooms range in size from  48 to 148 seats, offering both a big-screen experience and something more intimate. The Light at <a href="https://addlestone.thelight.co.uk/cinema" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Addlestone</a> also features six screening rooms. And at both you can order from the Kitchen &amp; Bar menu from the comfort of your seat. </p>

<p>To keep up with the luxury cinema experience of other smaller brands, <a href="https://www.odeon.co.uk/cinemas/epsom/88/">Odeon</a> have launched seven &#8216;luxe&#8217; screening houses across the UK with one on the High Street in Epsom. With 8 screens all with fully-reclining seats that have three times the standard legroom and more personal space you can unfold a built-in table to enjoy a drink from the upmarket Oscar’s Bar on the on-site Costa Coffee.</p>

<p>As part of the swanky new Epsom Square development the new <a href="https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/epsom-picturehouse" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Epsom Picturehouse</a> cinema is a real treat for film lovers. The six-screen venue with its own café and bar offers a curated range of films from mainstream and family movies to indies, documentaries and foreign language releases. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-small-but-perfectly-formed"><strong>Small but perfectly formed</strong></h2>



<p>Prefer something more casual? You can often catch pop-up and intimate screenings near you at small theatres and village halls. We love the <a href="https://themiller.net/#whats-on" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Miller Centre</a> in Caterham that has film nights when no live theatre performances are on stage. And for a real community feel <a href="https://www.chiddingfoldcinema.com/about">Chiddingfold Cinema</a> and <a href="https://sherevillagecinema.com/about/">Shere Village Chimea</a> are a not-for-profit organisations run by volunteers that transform the village hall into a cosy welcoming screening rooms. <a href="https://www.haslemerehall.co.uk/sales/whats-on-1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Haslemere Hall</a> also screens films.</p>

<p>Or enjoy a film in the sublime surroundings of <a href="https://www.adventurecinema.co.uk/venues/kew-gardens" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kew Gardens</a> where you can catch the original <em>Bridget Jones</em>, <em>Moana 2</em>, <em>Mamma Mia!</em> and children&#8217;s showings of <em>Stick Man</em>. At both events expect hot food and an on-site bar. You can also take your own picnic. Don&#8217;t forget your cosy throws, cushions and picnic rug for the ultimate alfresco film experience. </p>
