<p>Albury Organic Vineyard keeps things pleasingly simple here: good sparkling wine, excellent cheese, and a gorgeous view. Join a guided tasting and sample Albury Estate sparkling wines, followed by a glass of your choice paired with a selection of English cheeses. From the tasting room, you can look out over the vines, or take things a step further with a wander through the vineyard itself. Self-guided tours are free for tasting guests and offer a straightforward way to explore the estate before or after your session.</p>

<p>Petrolhead papa? This one’s for him. Head to Brooklands Museum in Weybridge where the Japanese car meet returns for its second year, bringing a proper line-up of Subaru, Honda, Mazda, Kawasaki, Nissan, Datsun, Toyota, Lexus and Suzuki cars and motorbikes together in one place.</p>



<p>Expect an impressive display of Japanese engineering, live entertainment, and the chance to watch &#8211; or take &#8211; a run up the famous Test Hill if you’re feeling brave enough. Better still, if you’ve got a Japanese vehicle of your own, bring it along and join the action.</p>



<p>It’s part car meet, part spectacle, and very much a hands-on day out built for anyone who treats Father’s Day as an excuse to talk torque over tea.</p>

<p>If your dad prefers a paddleboard to a pint, book him an experience at Aqua Sports on Mercers Lake near Redhill. One of the largest watersports centres in the south east, it offers everything from windsurfing and sailing to paddleboarding and kayaking.</p>



<p>For beginners, there are two-hour taster sessions designed to get you out on the water without too much commitment. For the more adventurous, longer courses offer the chance to build skills over a couple of days and beyond. There are also family fun days, making this an easy Father&#8217;s Day win if you&#8217;d rather spend time together than buy another bottle of whiskey.</p>

<p>If your dad&#8217;s idea of the perfect day involves fairways, Foxhills Club &amp; Resort is a solid bet. <p>Celebrate Father&#8217;s Day on the lawn at Denbies Wine Estate with pizza, wine, beer and live music in one of Surrey&#8217;s prettiest settings. Singer-songwriter Luke Edney will provide the soundtrack, with a mix of blues and country rock while guests relax among the vines.</p>



<p>As well as Denbies&#8217; own wines, there&#8217;ll be a selection from Surrey Hills Vineyards and artisan beers from Surrey Hills Brewery, while homemade pizzas are served from 12.30pm to 3pm. It&#8217;s a relaxed, family-friendly way to celebrate, whether your dad is a wine buff or simply appreciates a good pizza and a sunny afternoon. <p>If the man in your life fancies himself a bit of a sharp shooter, book a clay shooting experience at Bisley Shooting Ground on Cottesloe Heath, between Guildford and Woking. Instructors take you through all the basics, from safety to gun handling, whether you’re a complete beginner or just brushing up your technique.</p>



<p>Sessions are individual or group (for three or more), with all clays and cartridges included, plus gun hire and tuition. It’s straightforward, hands-on and surprisingly satisfying once you get into the rhythm.</p>

<p>Step into the world of Silent Pool Gin with a distillery tour and tasting set beside the striking Silent Pool. It’s a stunning spot for a gin operation, and very much part of the experience.</p>



<p>Over 90 minutes, you&#8217;ll find out why the distillery was built here, before going  behind the scenes to see the copper stills, the botanicals and the four-stage distillation process that shapes the spirit. There’s also a look at the history of gin. It&#8217;s fun, informative and perfect for the gin lover. </p>



<p>And the best part? The visit finishes with a guided tasting on site. Tickets cost £25 per person.</p>

<p>You can’t beat a proper Sunday roast, and Surrey has plenty of places doing it very well indeed &#8211; from relaxed pub classics to full-on fine dining experiences. If Father’s Day is your excuse, there are plenty of excellent spots to choose from.</p>



<p>At <a href="https://castlepubfarnham.co.uk/events/fathers-day/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Castle</a> in Farnham, Father’s Day starts early with breakfast served 9.30-11am, followed by classic Sunday roasts from 12noon. It’s a good shout if you want to make a day of it without rushing anywhere.</p>



<p><a href="https://thedrummingsnipe.co.uk/whats-on.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Drumming Snipe</a> in Mayford is very much a roast destination pub. It’s well known locally for doing aa fabulous Sunday lunch &#8211; just make sure you book ahead, as it fills quickly.</p>



<p>In Ockham, <a href="https://www.blackswanockham.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Black Swan</a> is another strong choice, serving up classic roasts alongside more thoughtful vegetarian options, including a wild mushroom and spinach strudel. Best to book ahead here too.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.belandthedragon.co.uk/fathers-day" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bel &amp; The Dragon</a> in Churt is a great spot to celebrate Father’s Day if feasting with the family is what you love. Expect dishes like Grassroots rib of beef to share, with all the trimmings. Book ahead and Dad gets a complimentary pint on the day.</p>



<p>For steak lovers, <a href="https://harpers-haslemere.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harper&#8217;s Steakhouse</a> in Haslemere delivers classic steakhouse hospitality with an all-day menu built around quality cuts and straightforward crowd-pleasers. </p>



<p>For something more refined, Barnett Hill near Guildford offers Sunday lunch in the <a href="https://alexanderhotels.co.uk/barnett-hill/food-drink/sunday-lunch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oak Hall Restaurant</a>, with two courses (£35) or three (£45) in an elegant country house setting.</p>



<p>And if you’re really pushing the boat out, <a href="https://alexanderhotels.co.uk/great-fosters/food-drink/the-tudor-pass/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Tudor Pass</a> at Great Fosters offers the Chef’s Table &#8211; a four-course tasting menu for 6-10 guests at £145 per person. It runs Wednesday to Saturday, making it more of an early Father’s Day treat than a Sunday lunch option.</p>
